Who would it be if they crash and burn for the first 3 or 4 games this season. And would that even be enough to pull the trigger? I would like to see Richard but I am not sure he has enough cred yet. Thoughts?

It's interesting because that would normally be Scott Linehan the way this works. But he's really the one they should fire first.

Marinelli is too old and probably wouldn't want it.

I could see them just taking playcalling duties from Linehan and giving them back to Garrett, which would be stupid but very Jerry like.

But I think they ride it out unless it gets real bad. Like 1-8 bad, which I haven’t ruled out after what I saw last week

Marinelli. Who is calling the plays? If Linehan and JG goes I would ditch kellen also. I don’t think he did any QB coaching this offseason.

From what I understand, Linehan's using Garrett's playbook so I don't know what firing him in season would accomplish.

I also think some need to take a look at play calling vs execution and the fact this OL was not even close to 2017 standards. Did Linehan call plays for his WRs not to get open? I am not a Linehan fan but I am not laying this all on him.

And here is the #1 question on my mind about play calling with this team. Is Linehan calling plays with Prescott's limitations in mind? Is he taking the safest path knowing what he has at QB and receivers?

I don't know what OC can out call his talent. Execution needs to be the first thing we look at because it is the failure of the play that draws our attention and we might be blaming the wrong person.
