We are well aware that Tyler Smith wasn't the same last season since training camp dealing with a knee injury which he had offseason surgery on.

Cooper Beebe missed 6 games last season which hurt his development, Booker was out 3.

If we all remember against the Jets we started 4 backups with Steele.

The interior is their strength within the OL and needs to stay on the field to allow the offense to take that so called next step.

We definitely can use some good fortune in terms of health.

I had actually forgotten just how many starters missed multiple games.

It was impressive how well the backups held up, but it’s not anything you want to do on a regular basis.

They have not fielded a healthy OL in what seems to be 15 years.
The past 2 years, the projected starting OL have never been on the field at the same time, or if so, rarely. And never for a full game.

I keep saying they need new trainers.
It is a good point, but lineman get hurt throughout the league.

We need Smith to return to form, really had his struggles last season at times.

Why just the interior OL?

They’ll need to be healthy at every position. Bassight be a dropoff but not all that severe,

I do think that Klayton Adams was a big reason that the OL just kept rolling along anyway. They guy is a fantastic coach and is great with OL.

Now if they do all stay healthy, watch out. The line will be very, very good, IMO.

I’m actually excited to see what Guyton and Steele look like this year.

I think that both can be better this season. If either or both can take that next step, this offense can be lethal.

Yeah, the coaching gives me hope that they can get to where they need to be. Guyton, in particular, has all the physical ability you could want.

The group inside is very good. Booker can be a monster. His mentality on the field is A+. Just what you want.

I wasn't a fan of that Booker pick due to more the positional value, but he was probably our best lineman last season. Saw him do well against elite competition. If Beebe can take that next step, they could be a force to contend with; all are physical people movers in the run game.

I do expect Beebe to take that next step.

And by all accounts, the young man is putting in the work. Nothing is guaranteed of course, but I appreciate his efforts.

The inside group should dominate given the level of investment that’s been made.

Tyler Smith needs to bounce back a bit to his previous standards.

Tyler Booker just needs to stay on track to what he was becoming last year.

I need to see Beebe raise his game to that next level. Hopefully staying healthy helps him.

They need to be because the tackles are absolutely terrible.

Any player from Dallas that has had a good season NEEDS TO BE CAREFUL the next season it always seems to hit them!!

That’s what I’m counting on. If that interior trio can move people on a consistent basis, I feel this offense can truly become elite, and possibly historic.

It’s a big ask. Just 19 players in the league played 100% of their teams OL snaps in 2025. 84 played at least 80% of their teams snaps.

The data indicates that on average a team should expect half their OL to miss multiple games each year.

Part of that is performance based benching im sure, but it’s a high rate of injury position. I’d guess second to only RB.

You know that defensive coordinators have been working all summer on ways to slow down CeeDee and Pickens. They’ll find some ways to defend both better than they did last year, I have no doubt.

However, if they do that they’re going to have to cannibalize other parts of their defense. They’ll still only have 11. Flournoy or Ferguson should have plenty of opportunities to make some plays.

However, what I’m most excited about is that they’ll have to take some manpower out of run support to try to stop the dynamic duo at receiver. Klayton Adams’ run game typically improves significantly from year 1 to year 2, and if the OL continues to improve, it should lead to a very good run game this season. Especially if Blue can be what we hope as the 2nd back.

They should eat up some yards (and clock) this season. If they start doing that, the pressure the defense puts on Lamb and Pickens should ease up because the defense will have to stop the run game.

If it goes like that… the offense will have a huge season and the defense will just have to hold up their end of the bargain.
