What NFC WR will go ahead of him?

Steve Smith? No
Calvin? No
Greg Jennings? No
Desean? Maybe

Seriously..he has better stats than all those guys. Hopefully he keeps it up and gets 1200 and 10+ TD's by the end of the season

Sydney Rice
Donald Driver
Larry Fitz
Steve Smith (NYG)

All those guys are having strong years. I just don't think he has the notoriety to make it in. Not this year anyway.

Isn't the probowl a week before the superbowl this year?

I hope he isn't playing in the probowl then!

I'm not sure Witten is a lock this year.

I dunno either. Tough group this year.

Tony G is gonna go.
Vernon Davis is playing really well.
Favre's TE has a bunch of TDs
Kellen Winslow is having a good year for being on a crap team
And even Celek is looking strong.

Tough time to be an NFC TE.

But like Adam said, coaches and players vote as well and they know who is deserving.

Witten isn't the lock many think he is. Vernon Davis has great stats and could go this year. Gonzales could make it in on name (not that he isn't performing, mind you). And Celek is having a good year too.

Romo - doubtful he gets in. Brees and Favre are locks. He'll be competing with Chunky Soup, Aaron Rodgers (whose likely to get in IMO), and could find himself not getting in.

I don't think Ratliff is a lock either. The Williams tandem could go, Haynesworth could get in, ditto on Dockett. Ratliff will face stiff competition.

The only lock I see is Ware.

The rest could get pushed out.

I think Ratliff's a lock. He's widely regarded as a top three, if not the best, nose tackle in the league.

the same could be said for witten. coaches and players will still vote him based on past success. even if he isn't having the best year

I don't see any way if things remain on the current trajectory that Romo makes it in over Favre, Brees, or Rogers.

Assuming Favre and Brees are absolute locks when I compare Rogers and Romo's stats, Roger's is better is ALL of the important categories, Completion %, TDs, Ints, and Yards.

How many CB's go to the Probowl? I don't see Jenkins getting in over Asante Samuel or Charles Woodson so he'd be fighting for the third spot at best.

He definitely should be a pro bowler, and so should the following players...

Jason Witten
Tony Romo*
DeMarcus Ware
Keith Brooking
Jay Ratliff
Kyle Kosier*
Mike Jenkins*
Mat McBriar

*- Maybe depending how the rest of the season goes. He would still get my vote.

One of the dumbest moves by the NFL, ever. Hardly anyone watches the game as is and now even less will watch it because none of the players from the two teams playing in the Superbowl are going to be playing in the Pro Bowl.

I mean lets say the Colts make it for the AFC. Do you really think Reggie Wayne and Peyton Manning will be playing in a meaningless Pro Bowl game with the Superbowl a week away? Not a chance.

This just means even more people dropping out and not playing in it. Dumb move.
