I won't post the full interview, you can find it here:

https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/07/10/dallas-cowboys-dak-prescott-charity

In general, it reveals what we already know - that we really lucked out in drafting this kid. Whatever he amounts to on the field, off the field he's a solid human being and a dedicated teammate.

The one part that I do want to mention is what he said about Zeke. Seems to me he's calling him out a bit - telling him that he needs to be more mature and wise up. Or am I overthinking this?

SI: What did you think of Ezekiel Elliot’s ESPN the Magazine's Body Issue cover?

Prescott: I think Zeke should use his platform to do things like I’m doing with Bristol-Myers Squibb for Ready. Raise. Rise. instead of doing his thing for the body issue and doing photo shoots.

I would almost think he was saying it with a smile, as if to rib him for appearing naked in a magazine. It would be totally out of character if he was serious, to the point where I would think it was more likely he was misquoted.

I need low-key off-season next year from Dak. He has been on biggest PR tour I have ever seen by Dallas Cowboy. He was simultaneously signing footballs while doing podcast because he had few thousand other commitment to fill that day. Don't want this to be a story when he doesn't put up same numbers but you can see this coming.

I get a little concerned with all the other "stuff" he's doing. If he's not careful, he might end up taking himself too seriously and wind up over his skis like RG3 and Manziel. If you don't produce on the field, the media turns you into a carnival act.

Literally much ado about nothing. Zeke was in Vegas with Dak's brother this weekend hanging out.

Yes he was. ESPN was talking about this a few days ago, and that Dak was having fun with it poking fun at Zeke.

Normally ESPN would be going all TMZ on anything Dallas. But 2 things recently, they actually made sure this was a quote they made for fun, and also about Zekes suspension according to a few, the NFL Live crew made sure they said the legal system found nothing wrong, so why is the NFL being stupid and dragging it out. Well, they didn't say stupid, but alluded to it, sort of. They were not knocking Zeke by any means.

I checked 3 times to see if I had the right channel.

And how is this any different from them talking about Tony and his golfing or Cabo trips?

You probably won't see it.

The guy is making peanuts compared to his worth. His agent is likely trying to milk every additional penny he can get until Dak signs his inevitable huge contract. Russell Wilson did similar things during his rookie contract.

Apparently Donovan Mcnabb doesn't and he told everyone watching Superbowl XXXIX. :igglestrophy: ...... He went from being a spokesman to a spukesman right on national tv.

Wow . . . sounds like McNabb might have had an ax to grind for them letting him go.

Seems like kind of a low blow, since he was on their payroll once. Ah well, se la vie!
