JORDAN ROSS: With Miles no longer on the team, how excited are you about the possibility of having a bigger role on offense next season?

DWAYNE HARRIS: I’m always excited about any opportunity to get more snaps on offense. My #1 job is to be a receiver and everything else is secondary. It’ll definitely be great if I’m able to get some more snaps.

JORDAN ROSS: Speaking of Miles, he was the longest tenured wide receiver on the team. What kind of things did you learn from him when you came into the NFL?

DWAYNE HARRIS: He showed me how to be a professional. He’s a gamer and goes about everything the right way. I’m going to miss him. He really taught me a lot.

JORDAN ROSS: I don’t know if you know this, but now you’re the oldest wide receiver on the team. Do you feel ready to possibly take on more of a veteran leadership role?

DWAYNE HARRIS: (laughs) Yeah, I know I’m the oldest. But, you know, most of the guys have already played a lot. We’ve got Dez, who does his thing. Terrance isn’t a rookie anymore. Beasley has been playing for two years now. So we don’t really have any “young” guys on the team right now. I think we can all be leaders and
help each other.

I did not know he was the oldest WR, but I guess it makes sense now that I think about it.

Harris is an easily forgotten guy by many a casual fan but he is the most dynamic ST player we've had on this team in a long long time. I hope he stays a Cowboy for quite a few years and that the coaches find a way to get him the ball more. There's not a player on this roster who is more dangerous in the open field than Harris (Dez included). He's not the fastest or the biggest but the guy just has a knack for navigating his way through the trash and making things happen. Love that dude.

I don't get it.

Every athlete with dreadlocks is nicknamed The Predator...Hilarious!

Anyway: He's an elite special teams player and I think he's on his way to become a good receiver too. Hope he keeps it up, he seems like a cool dude. I really love our 4 receivers, Dez, TW, Cole and Dwayne. We've got everything from outside receivers to possession guys to slot receivers to deep threats.

In a word "playmaker".
Also, I agree with everything you said.

Sometimes I think Harris is in a little bit over his head, but then he steps up and takes your breath away.

Harris is easily one of my favorite players on this team and his "playing" attitude needs to rub off on a few more teammates. I was watching a Travis Frederick breakdown on DC.com I believe vs the Rams and the first thing that caught my eye was how Harris manhandled CFinnegan on an inside run play. He's a difference maker with or without the ball as long as he is on the field and why he deserves more offensive PT.

Good observation and very typical of Harris.
He does so many things that the average fan may not notice.

Harris has been deserving of more snaps for years . . . it's nothing new. Actually, I'd like nothing better than to see him prove it on more of a regular basis. He is and has been a little spark plug that the Cowboys would really do well to implement more often.

I like Harris as a returner and situational receiver. Definitely a guy you like to have on your roster.

That said, I tap the breaks when I hear about giving him more snaps. I still think he runs sloppy routes and has a lot of sloppy technique. I like him as a number 4 WR and full time returner/gunner.
