They should just refuse as a group. I hate the half time stuff too, you've only got so much time.
Total BS

Can you imagine Bill Parcells having to submit to this ridiculous idea? What about Mike Ditka?

There have been 115 times since 1970 when a team was losing at the half by 30 or more points. An interview during one of those games could result in violence.
Parcells would have been Priceless! Even would love to see them do that to Belicheck…

I can’t imagine any coach wants to be interviewed during the game…except for maybe Jerry!

But I’ve always thought Harbaugh is a tool and a whiner.

Coaches shouldn't be asked to do in game interviews. That is nuts. That said, both Harbaughs are D Bags, so there is that.

I can say this, it would certainly be entertaining and very colorful, and not in a way that kids would wanna hear.

It's getting to where the NFL is a joke. I don't like the fact that Tampa Bay and Dallas have to play a Monday night game. So whoever wins goes to San Franciso after a Monday night game . I don't believe there has ever been a Monday night game played during the playoffs. This is beyond stupid and really unfair if you ask me.
It's a clear competitive disadvantage built into the NFL's greed.

Pointless. Offers nothing. Must be awkward for the interviewer as well. Just another stupid idea presumably because they think we are all dumb. And why do we even need a reporter down on the field? To tell us a player is questionable to return after being carted off which always means he is out. How much do those sideline reporters make? Too much I imagine.

Yeah, she had to feel like a piece of poop after that. I would have.

Well the coaches should just start looking at the camera in that “creepy” Garrett way that everyone is complaining about. That would be funny.
Glad others have acknowledged and recognized this as well.

The NFL makes the TV coverage more important than the game now. It is annoying. But sideline cutaways are always annoying if they do not deliver significant news or insight.

Did anyone just see the Harbaugh interview during the 1st quarter ? I know that has to be annoying for a HC to have to do that during a game.
They just started doing those interviews this season and I’m sure head coaches hate it. They do the interviews during a commercial break, then air them while the game is in progress. In another few years they’ll have the sideline reporter rushing up to the head coach during a critical situation and stick a mic in their face and ask, what’s the play? Lol

I agree.
I’ll get on my soapbox and comment on the kerfluffle about Al Michaels and Tony Dungy not being excited enough announcing the comeback Saturday night. I watch the game and know what’s exciting and what’s not. I don’t need a screamer to elevate his volume every time a big play happens. I want them to add insight. Is it the multi-tasking culture that needs Gus Johnson-level excitement to identify when they should look up from their phones and actually pay attention to the game itself?

I Gotta admit, I find Romo's adolescent antics are a real turn off. I find there's enough drama with the game and don't need embellishment from the booth. Kevin Burkhardt is another cheerleader I can't stand listening to.
