Bears offensive line coach Mike Tice attended the Cyclones pro day to get a first-hand look at the versatile Stephens, pegged by most analysts as a potential late-round option.
“[The workout] went well,” Stephens told the Omaha World-Herald. “He [Tice] watched me go through drills, then he worked me out through about 10 different position drills. I did well.”
Stephens, a participant in the East-West Shrine game, started at both center and guard during his career at Iowa State, and was an honorable All-Big 12 selection his final two seasons.
