I usually figure any and all this stuff out?

It's just very time consuming.

Anyone know why some purchases download into iPod and some don't?(they are greyed out - never downloade/won't download)

I've done add and remove and sync over and over. To no avail.

Any ideas?

I remember when Itunes was a really good program.

When I initially switched over to android (Samsung SIII was new) I hated the lack of a good interface for the music and programs on the phone to the computer on Android or Samsungs part.
To samsung's credit they tried to have a similar program but it was more trouble than not especially with driver issues constantly changing.

Now you could easily move files from your phone to your computer or computer to the phone as long as you knew where to look. However they just did not have a good program like Itunes to rip, organize, relable, transfer and so on for the phone to computer and reverse uses.

After a long time I had to fix my wife's iphone (shocker) to factory settings and wanted to use the itunes program we had setup on the computer just for her years ago. However due to new itunes and other issues it just was no where near the same as it used to be.

Not only did it not save all the photos and videos as it said it did (and they were lost) but some of the songs were listed twice to the point of having a few hundred songs listed in itunes twice and having to go in and delete a bunch of them before moving them back onto her phone.

Also...stinking ring tones. Yet another thing it said it saved but did not for her.

So Since I am used to using Zedge on android and it was simple...I told her to download it on the app store and use it get new ring tones.

Little did I know that, at least at that time, it would only download to itunes and after that you have to connect to the computer and itunes in order to move them over to your phone. But here is another pain in the butt...if you only use itunes once in a great while and want to connect...you tend to find yourself connecting, opening Itunes and getting annoyed with them wanting to install yet another new edition of itunes and they never seen to install quickly. That or they are bugging you to install bonjour or quicktime and blah blah blah.

SOOOO glad I do not have to deal with itunes even though android does not have a comparable syncing program to do all that Itunes USED to do without problems.
