Bill Parcells' as dolphins GM:
- Give bobby Carpenter a Job in the NFL
- Retire as GM

is Bobby his kid or something, seriously Bill is a nutjob if he thinks Carpenter and McQ will help his team win games.

It is the fact that he coached his father, plus Bill coached Bobby as well. Bill does not like to stray away from taking care of "his guys". Plus, it's this...

Just Monday, newly signed linebacker Bobby Carpenter had needled his former coach in Dallas about his unofficial title of "football czar" here in South Florida. Carpenter also mentioned at that time that Ireland was the one that called his agent, Jimmy Sexton, who also represents Parcells and Dolphins coach Tony Sparano.

Dolphins ownership - Good afternoon, Bill. Sorry I was out of town over the holiday weekend. Catch me up to date on what took place in my absence.

Parcell - Well, we traded for Pat McQuistain.

Dolphins ownership - Haha. Good one. No seriously Bill . . .

Parcells - Yeah . . . we also shored up our linebacking corps by signing Bobby Carpenter.

~awkward silence~

Dolphins ownership - Rrrriiiiggghhtttt . . . Listen Bill . . . I'm thinking it's about time you gave you a 'consulting' position.

Nice work, sir.

I think its most likely that BP is restless. That is his nature. He accomplished what he wanted to do in Miami which was make it a contender again like he has at every team he has been at.

He's a quitter that burns out after about 4 years.

Simple as that.

Is Miami a contender? They are better, but they were very bad when Parcells got there. Maybe it is just semantics, but to me a contender has a legitimate chance at winning a championship. I don't think Miami is there, yet.

I agree that Parcells gets restless.

I guess i view him as a very unique coach who has turned around 5
different teams.I can understand how he could alienate people, but i don't
believe that any other coach can match his resume.

sure, but who builds a contender from a 1-15 team in 2 years?

No, one. That is why I don't think they are contenders right now. The future is uncertain, so I can't say that they will be contenders soon. Henne is still young and may not be the answer at QB. If not that will set them back a couple of years. Still too soon to say they are contenders, but they look to be on the right track.
