He's from the south anyway... not that hard to believe actually

No kidding.....did anyone really think he'd say he was a Saints fan? :laugh2:

He said he hated to admit it now, but he grew up wanting to be a Dallas Cowboy and win SBs and be Roger Staubach. That's what he said.:lombardi:

Kind of interesting. Never knew that about him.

Not that I doubt you in any way, but I'd love to literally hear that. All of the links I've ever seen are the 9:30 length variety(opening of his press conference) and I didn't hear that blurb in them. Is there a place where we can listen to that declaration?

It was great, I was sitting with 3 diehard Packer fans when he said that. They couldn't believe it! Though the harshest reality for them was...they know I'm never going to let them forget it!

Did he really say that? Wow...that seems like a slap in the face of Packers fans. That'd be like Emmitt retiring as a Cowboy and saying, "I always wanted to play for the Commanders." hmm

What he said was that when he was a kid, he wanted to be a Cowboy and be like Staubach and win Super Bowls. That's when he was a kid.

He also said that the Packers organization is the best there is and he wouldn't have wanted to play anywhere else. He knew the history, he knew the legends that played in Green Bay, and he was honored to be a part of it.

This interview is almost an hour long. He made his Dallas remark near the end on the conference. If you go to around the 6 minute mark, you'll he the reference.

Whats funny is.... IF Lombardi was his coach. Brett wins 3 SB's NOT just one.

"What the heck are you throwing INT's for?? INT's are for losers!! I dont associate myself with losers!! You got that?! Throw another one into 3 defenders and I will personally sack your arse"

It was an interesting comment. NFL Network showed the press conference in various segments and as they were going to break the host said, "Guess who Brett Favre's favorite team was as he was growing up?"

There are a lot of treams with tradition and the Packers unquestionably have a great tradition, but there is no doubt there is only ONE "America's Team"!

Did anyone else catch what Favre said in his press conference. He said as a young boy he dreamed of playing for the Dallas Cowboys and throwing the winning touchdown just like Roger Staubach. All the Cheeseheads threw up a little bit when that was said.

Every young boy dreams of someday playing football for the Dallas Cowboys. I still do. :D

If only every player could pick their own team. The line for the Cowboys would be a long one.

But Romo wanted to be Brett Favre, so it evens out.

Ch-Ch-Cheddah! Must take nasty going down 2nd time around :lmao:

But seriously.... some are making a big deal about his comments. Its obvious that "as a boy" is WAY BEFORE his Packer loyalty.

Even Still Packer fans prob would rather not have heard that... Flip 'em!
