I don't generally post stuff like this but is anyone getting the sense that Rodgers playing with his calf injury is being pushed as heroic?

I get it, it isn't easy playing a physical game with an injury. Other players including our own Qb have done the same thing with much worse injuries. I understand it is a story for this game, but the focus has been more on Rodgers being a hero for playing, not on the effect it will have on the game (if any).

Of course. Also, it is rarely mentioned that Romo has an hurt back and some even say he hasn't been injured all season and faking it. I suspect all the more reason to call him a choker if we lose to GB with no injury excuse :(

If GB loses the story will beat 'Dallas beats an injured Rodgers'. But like Detroit and the crying they did after the game, I won't give how we win a second thought.

I hadn't heard that @dexternjack, but listening to the Network today they were gushing over Rodgers toughness. Then Mooch started saying he always plays hurt and then switched real quick to sometimes.

Talking heads never mention that Philly barely beat a Romoless Cowboys team to keep them out of the playoffs for the third straight year so if they say the Cowboys beat an 'injured' Rodgers, I have no doubt that I just wont care.

I said this in another thread, but as great as Rodgers is, he's injury prone. He had better be an iron man, because he's hurt almost every season. He can be called iron man if the Pack win this Superbowl, but let's say he gets past the Cowboys. He has two games left on a torn calf. I just don't like his chances.

I don't care what they say about Rodgers...let all of the media go to him right now...the mediots won't have any choice but to say things about Dallas when they play in the NFCCG...this weekend would be absolutely devastating to the mediots if Balt, Car, Dallas and Indy all won (not likely)...could you imagine all of their darlings not in the two championship games? No Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Tony standing there....my goodness.......

"Hyman Roth will never see the new year"...... Errrrrr....mi mean.....

Aaron Rodgers won't make it to the end of the game

Let's all remember... He hurt himself barely running in his last game.

Grab him high. Put all your weight on him. And fall to the ground.

If you want Rodgers to hurt the key is to get him running. The faster he is running the more he will have to push off with his calf muscles and the more strain there will be on him.

I think we should purposefully be doing things to goad him into running and let his competitive instinct lead him to injure himself.

He is a great QB but is also a drama queen and a front runner

He's fine

Eli Manning is an ironman. That guy never misses a snap due to injury. I think that's why Giants fans were so quick to want him gone earlier in the year, they forget what it's like to have a JAG playing. Eli may not be elite, but he's solid and virtually unbreakable.

Ugh. This game needs to start.

I hope Rodgers doesn't fake a limp on one bad play and then take off running for a first down on the next play with no limp.

I hate this type of act. If you are in so much pain that you can't walk properly one play then no way can you run the next play....

Win = Ironman or Lose = Steel Wool

Either way the mediots will have an excuse or continue the love fest.

Let's just go out and dominate on both sides of the ball, make media darling dude a non factor....watch the pundits cry about something, and they will find something....
But we all wont care....we'll be moving on to the next game of this season.

An ironman at quarterback would be one that plays with broken ribs and a collapsed lung. That's a fact, not hyberbole.

I'm looking forward to seeing how long Rodgers can last doing the three hop drop. :)

Watching pregame warm-ups he is moving around pretty well. Bouncing up and down and doing short jogs, while throwing.
