Irregardess... nothing is decided this Thursday. Win or lose.

After this game there will be 4 games left... anything can happen....even if we were to lose all we would have to do is finish with a better record than GB....

I cant help but think that GB is gonna lose 2 games in a row at some point....

Actually I think we win on thursday and that THAT is the start of their first 2 game losing streak all year

Green Bay has a pretty soft schedule left, I'm not sure they will lose 2 more:

13 Nov 29 GB @ DAL
14 Dec 09 OAK @ GB
15 Dec 16 GB @ STL
16 Dec 23 GB @ CHI
17 Dec 30 DET @ GB

Whereas our schedule is a little more difficult:

13 Nov 29 GB @ DAL
14 Dec 09 DAL @ DET
15 Dec 16 PHI @ DAL
16 Dec 22 DAL @ CAR
17 Dec 30 DAL @ WAS

I still think we have a good chance to win out, but in the NFL you never know - especially with division rivals.

They might just lose to us and then lose their last 2 games.

I think hoping for anymore than 1 more loss out of Green Bay is really pushing it. Oakland, Rams, Lions and Bears? You think they lose 2 of those games? I think you're really, really pushing it.

Imagine what Lambeau Field would be like, homefield on the line, against the Detroit Lions? A lot more favorable than what they saw on Thursday, it was the Lions' chance to shorten the gap and they couldn't get it done.

Don't get me wrong, nothing is decided on Thursday.. but if the Packers beat us, I really don't see them being caught and I see them finished 14-2 at the absolute worst. The end of that schedule is cake.

Remember, winner on Thursday can lose 3 games and still have the tiebreaker over the other.

Uhhhh, no. The team that loses three games (between Dallas and Green Bay) won't even be in tie breaker position. They'll be traveling for the NFC Championship game

Very true. Remember the Bears were supposed to be unbeatable (especially at home) until we killed them week 3.

what do irregardess mean?

It means he probably went to Irving or Farmers Branch school. (Oh, wait, make that NY schools. No wonder)

Irregardless (when spelled correctly) is a contradiction.

He should have used the word regardless or nonetheless or nevertheless.
But that is what passes for writing these days.

Learn to spell, postor misspeller, regardless of your socio-economic status.:)

You'd punch someone for the using a commonly misused word? You're neat.

How ironic. You're equally as neat.

Watch out people, the grammar police are on the prowl.

Most people who went to college (mis)use that word. It is redundant in that it is essentially saying regardless-regardless as the prefix "ir" means "regardless" or "not" as in "irrespective" or "irrelevant".

It drives me crazy to hear otherwise educated people misuse that word. Our pastor, who is extremely well read and educated uses it all the time, regardless(proper word to use) of how many times I have pointed it out to him.

It just goes to show you that not everything you learn in college is right. People need to learn how to teach themselves and to search out the truth for themselves instead of just accepting everything they hear from those who are reputed to be "experts" or "authorities" on the subject. Sadly, teachers and the media are prime sources for misinformation.

You may be typing this response with a smile on your face. And when verbally communicating to a "friend", he can see that smile and laugh with you at himself.

As a typed response is just comes off as harsh.

irregardless
One entry found.

irregardless

Main Entry: ir·re·gard·less
Pronunciation: \ˌir-i-ˈgärd-ləs\
Function: adverb
Etymology: probably blend of irrespective and regardless
Date: circa 1912
nonstandard : regardless
usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

I dont care.. I will take it.... only thing that matters is the W.... no the TDs that Romo throws or the TD's that TO catches.... nothing.... just the W
