I saw an interview with Michael Irvin last night.

When he heard JJ was hired, he told the coach that he
has something for him when he arrived that he's definitely
gonna want.

JJ arrived and Irvin brought a list of players and said, "get rid
of these GUYS because we'll never win with them." (almost half the team)

We don't have the insight of Irvin but
who are your GUYS on this team?

Ball
Barron
Bennett
Brooking
Davis
Gurode
Hatcher
Holland
James
Kitna
Olshansky
Scandrick
Sensabaugh
Spears
J Williams

Ive been thinking about what Irvin told Jimmy too for the last couple of weeks. If half of the players on that Landry team were not there to win then I shudder to think about. how many on a Wade Phillips coached team are here to win. Most of our players are very well paid and really don't stand to gain a whole lot by selling out their body to make a play. I do think that Tony Romo and Miles Austin along with Doug Free and Jason Witten are here to win. Other than maybe Demarcus Ware I really don't know about anyone on defense.

Wow, why do you think these guys keep us from winning or gives the team a losing attitude?

Barron for sure, he negated our comeback win. But some of those other guys I don't think they keep us from winning.

I think the player should give the list to the GM not the coach in this situation.

Everyone was yelling to get rid of Barron and looked what happenned. We have no one on the team that will set that example. Wade is too nice and will not over rule Jerry.

About the Irvin situation, I remember Irvin throwing a hissy fit when he found out that the Cowboys dumped Landry and hired Jimmy. I remember him throwing a trashcan or something to that nature. When Irvin first came to Dallas, he hugged a life size cardboard cutout of Tom Landry.

Actually that was when Jimmy was fired.

I think he did that as well, but I remember when they fired Landry, Irvin wasn't very happy. I think it might have been b/c Jimmy said Irvin shouldn't have gone as high as he did in the draft. Not sure why Irvin was mad.

Youre a dallas fan. And have an avatar of your players getting hurt.

Youre a Football fan, and show how a player is getting hurt.

Wow.

To me none of those guys make any plays at all, especially the guys on defense, they are as anti-playmakers as it gets.

In terms of the guys who play regularly, I guess mine would be Ball, Sensabaugh, Brooking (just too old now), Davis, Kosier, Colombo, Barber & Scandrick.

There's a couple other places we could use upgrades, but they are not glaring weaknesses IMO.

Here's the video's of Irvin:

RW struggled early on, but he has handled it extremely well. He got angry about the comments and worked hard to improve and fit in. You have to respect a guy who is willing to put in the effort to improve. You can win with players like that.

I think Irvin was talking more about desire or heart then talent.

Obviously an oversight that you would leave off Jay Ratliff. Shoot, the guy maybe should head the list of keepers/winners. Give me a team full of Jay Ratliffs.
