Mike said Miles has taken the final step by beating a quality CB like Asante one on one. Opposing DCs will be more afraid to blitz because they know there is a WR on the outside that can beat their #1 CB.

That is a great way to beat a blitz. When you get a guy out there who you know you can depend on to make a team pay for blitzing.

Miles already beat top DBs, (Oakland) comes to mind... He's playing with so much confidence, it's awesome.

...is if he can maintain his physical ability and stay healthy his increasing game experience will really begin to help him on the field.

As a relatively new Cowboy fan (Only moved to the US in 2001) I'm as excited by Austin as I was about Julius Jones. God I hope this turns out better.. I'll hold off on buying the jersey for a while this time.

I honestly feel that the Thanksgiving game against Oakland was one of the most important games of the season.

Romo needed to see Miles and Roy perform against solid man coverage. He needed to know, outside of practice, who could get open and who he could trust on those crucial 3rd downs.

Oakland provided the best test of that since Miles was inserted in the lineup. Ever since, Witten has not necessarily been the 1st read on 3rd down or when there is pressure and that has made the offense even better.

Witten has gotten a ton more looks.

Miles is making big time catches.

This offense is almost impossible to get off the field now because the defense can't key on anyone.

Romo is accurate enough to fit the ball into coverage so who do you double?

If you bracket Witten, Miles has single coverage and Crayton is open on the other side.

If you double Miles, Witten is open underneath.

Roy would be a big part of the equation if he didn't screw it up in New Orleans and Washington.

If we can continue to score on the 1st possession (or just before the other team does) and limit the drive killing penalties, we can beat anyone. Handily.

I'm looking forward to the playoffs and we couldn't have a better 1st opponent. Philly can't beat us this year because they can't cover underneath.

And people thought I was hating on Miles when I said I wanted him to see him do this. People on this board man, I swear. Sometimes I wonder if people just like Dallas and don't even watch football as a whole.lol Good job though Miles, I have no doubts about your abilities after seeing you perform against a top 5 corner.

I'm not at all lacking faith in him. I know he can do it. But I wanna see this kind of season in 2010 before i bring out the anointing oil. He won't be taking anyone by surprise next year.

The reason why I don't really think it is necessary is he doesn't have a weakness in his game. He is strong, fast, physical. Unlike most big receivers he gets into his routes fast and I don't think I've seen anyone have much success trying to be physical with him. He can catch smokes, screens, slants and then RAC. He can go across the middle, catch the ball cleanly, take a shot and not drop the ball. He comes back to ball beautifully on curls. He has deep speed and can adjust to poorly thrown balls. So how is the league going to adjust to him except to provide more and more help but that will only open it up for others so there is a limit to the amount of hellp anyone can get.

About the only thing that I can't recall him doing is one of those toe drags to get his feet down in-bounds on an out.

The only weakness I've seen from him so far is he has dropped the odd easy one.

The one great strength he has had so far that some of the greats didn't is he doesn't seem to get frustrated if the ball isn't coming his way. That humility he has from his upbringing is key here. He wasn't spoiled by special treatment starting as an early teen because he was a good football player like so many other prima donna types that occupy the league.
