Anyone listening to him kiss the Giants' butt, and he still throwing McNabb nicety's out there also. It's making me sick. It might as well be the Micheal Irvins's NY Giants show with a bit of Eagles thrown in.

Then we're going to have to hear the excuses from Madden and Al on what their beloved Favre throwing 5 INT's. Guess the mute button wil be on soon. :bang2:

Cmon dude, he works in the media. He has a responsibility to remain as objective as he can, so it means he is going to say nice things about some of his former enemies.

These kinds of posts are ridiculous. What do you expect from the guy? The Giants put on one of the most impressive displays of the season yesterday.

Yes I realize that, but it seems he is going out of his way to say these things, seems contrived to me. But that is my opinion. I don't expect him to be a homer to the Cowboys, but at least have other comments and answers besides the Giants. If Philly wins next week, he'll be back on the McNabb /Owens thing.

No doubt, but that doesn't mean we need to get paranoid about ex-Cowboys doing their jobs.

Love your username...but a word of advice and not to sound sarcastic...but there is a thing on the remote where you can mute someone or change the channel when you don't like what they are saying. ;)

He's said some complimentary things about every team in this division at one time or another this season.

He did make the comments about Dallas not having a number one receiver, but he also said he thought we could end up in Detroit next February. Mike will continue to throw praise the Giants' way. And to the Eagles and Cowboys as well.

As long as he calls 'em like he sees 'em, he is doing his job well.

So I take it you'd like for him to be the Dallas version Joe Theisman and just preach all things Dallas?

I'll actually give him credit.

The Giants are the flavor of the week that the media is jumping on. Last week it was the Commanders. Long ways to go til the end of the season.

What are you talking about. He had nothing good to say about McNabb. He said McNabb was the biggest dissapointment in the league so far.He blamed McNabb for the eagles problems.Sounds like you only hear what you want to hear.By the way, everyone is praising the Giants for their game yesterday, not just Irvin.

Why don't you let Irvin do his job? He's not on the tube to kiss Dallas' butt. He's not there to praise Dallas - he's there to give his thoughts on ALL teams.

The Giants are in first place. What's wrong with recognizing that

Some of you guys act as if you can't praise another team if you are a former Dallas player or a Dallas fan for that matter.

It shortsighted.

Sarge, I don't think anything Jazzcat posts here is gonna prevent Irvin from doing his job.

That said, I agree with you. Irvin's just doing his job. The Giants are in first place in the division and look like the best team in the NFC right now. Add in all that Mara stuff and it's a given the Giants were gonna get a lot of love from the media this week.

The best way to get the media "on your side" is to win games.

Come on, MI gets a very special gleam in his eye and excitment in his voice when he puts a Cowboy in his "Playmakers". He's doing his job, and well, imo, but if you can't see the love you're not looking very hard. Even during the "No #one receivers" bit, didn't you feel the whole controversy was a gambit to talk about the Cowboys?

Who really cares what any of the guys on TV say ?

I mean, really.

None of them are so right all of the time that I hang on their every word.

I don't even watch most of that stuff, because they aren't prophets, or have a crystal ball or anything.

My wife starts watching as soon as we get home from church, she loves those NFL shows.

I sit down in front of the TV at 12:59 each Sunday and see for myself what happens.

Don't take them so seriously.

No I don't expect him to be a Dallas homer. I like him because he does say what he thinks, and can usually back it up. But sometimes there is just overkill, and tonight is one of those times. It's the first time I remember him being this way. So thought I would express my opinion.

Is this any different than 98% on this board berating the Spags for a mispelled word or grammar?

You might be the only soldier in this war, my man. Irvin has a job to do and he is very good at it. The Giants had one of the most emotional games of their history on Sunday and they came out and crushed the skins. Think about it man. If Jerry Jones died and we played next sunday and beat the Eagles 36-0 do you think for on second that every media person in america wouldn't have something good to say about the franchise. REALLY
