We all know how enthusiastic and animated M. Irvin is when he's on the "mic" so to speak on ESPN......sometimes it seems as though he tries a little much, but it wors for him and he sounds good doing it. is it just me or does Jaws try desperately to keep up with Irvins animated style? Jaws just doesnt sound right on the highlight reels, he sounds like he's trying too damn hard, he sounds much better just talking straight football minus the "cutesy" stuff cuz it doesnt work for him.....

Agreed and I have said that before as well.

Jaws is so much better when he just sticks to explaining the X's and O's of the game...he is really in his element in the Playbook segments....however he just does not have the style to compete with the others when it is "fun" time.

I must confess that Michael Irvin has impressed me as an NFL analyst. He really is quite good at it and comes off as being very personable when on-camera.

Look for his career to be as successful as say someone like Terry Bradshaw.
