Thought I saw this posted earlier, but can’t find it. Either way, it’s a great conversation, as usual. Good stuff on Amare and Dak, about Jerry Jones, and a bonus commentary at the end about Jason Garrett. Spoiler: mike likes him.

If Dak can establish a rapport with Cooper and Gallup down the stretch we could become very dangerous in the playoffs. Tony had his issues with putting the ball on the ground until he learned how to hold the ball with two hands chest-high when in traffic. It's not so far-fetched that one cannot allow themselves a Cinderella scenario... at least not for me... fans have a greater latitude than the so-called NFL experts :)
Go Cowboys:flagwave:

Nice vid. Thanks! Won’t get a lot of traffic, because it’s positive, and Irvin’s a HUGE homer!

"analization"???

Exactly. Can't believe people like this weasel?
Every time I see him he reminds me of the time he was laughing like crazy before the first Philly game talking about......

This isn't a must win for Dallas it's a can't win.

Then he went on to say the saints were going to be out Dallas and they didn't stand a chance. Then wants to bring in Leighton and kiss his behind

I don't know if Mike had been sick or what, but he obviously had issues with his voice....Those issues made it a much better interview.

Great stuff. Love Irvin. And he did say a nice thing about Garrett. But he also said the truth in a nice way. Hes a nice guy and players like him, but hes not an X and O guy. That's pretty much what everyone says about Garrett. Keep him with the players and an organizer, but keep him away from game day management and scheme.

I love Irvin. I've seen most of his NFL and college games. Tough as nails.
And yet, I wish I could have given that man a cough drop. Or at least some honey or something!

And that's fine not all coaches are great play callers. Get a better OC than Linehan, and let Garrett keep motivating the players and keeping them focused on the message

That would definitely be a better situation. But the offense still seems to have Garretts conservative nature to it. His stamp so to speak on the predictability and basic nature of the offense. And he also does the clock management. I would rather get rid of him, but I am resigned to the fact that he isnt going anywhere. So continuing to keep him as far away from the football stuff as possible would be best.

How would we know what nature the offense would be with a new play caller? Predictability and basic nature all flows back to the offensive coordinator Linehan who needs to be shown the door. Let Garrett get the troops ready and their mindsets ready to go and let a young OC come in calling creative plays and mismatches. The players all love Garrett and his message. Match made in heaven imo.

Like I said, get a new OC in here and let him do his own offense and game planning with no influence from Garrett what so ever and that would be the best thing. Garrett hand picked Linehan because he wanted a guy he could control and would run the type of offense that he wanted.

You know the nature of the play caller because you hire a guy with whatever mentality you want. Which would be aggressive, creative, run first, pass first, ect….ect…..

However, the best option would be to get rid of Garrett all together. But I think we both agree that isn't happening. So were talking about plan B.
