This is getting interesting. There is school of thought that Indy will make run at David Irving and forfeit 2nd round pick. Dallas then turns around and trades that 2nd rounder to Seattle for Earl Thomas.

If I told you two years ago that DT/DE (undrafted) was acquired off practice squad for nothing and flipped him for generational safety in Earl Thomas....you would be dancing.

Lets not overthink this. You do this in a heart beat.

So if it turns out Seattle hangs onto him, what is the estimation when we finally accept the fact they aren't trading him?

Will it end at the draft or will it go into training camp?

right after the draft

If Indy was going to grab him, I would think it would have happened already while not getting beat to the punch

Maybe later Seattle will take a 2nd and a 3rd for Thomas. Who knows.

Seattle wants 1st and 3rd for Thomas. Too much. We need more help at wr and lb.

And what cap space do we use for Thomas?

Sure, cap space on Madden.
No way.

We have been poised and just waiting for Stephen and his mighty pen to save the day.

In fact, Seattle has been on the edge of their seats, just waiting for him to finally scribble away so they can make this particular piece of destiny happen.

And what cap space do we use for Thomas?

How much does Thomas want a year...10 mill? Frederick restructuring (7.5M), Scandrick release (1.5M), James Hannah release (2.5M) should cover it for this year. Next year looks more favorably cap wise.

Well have 10 draft picks. We will need space to sign them as well.

We need around $5 mil for our draft picks (or so I read here) too.

Kickoff for game 16 until they are reminded that there is a trade deadline.

There will be threads that Jerry should just ignore the trade deadline and make a trade anyway.

Somebody here will have suggested two 1st round picks before it's over.
