Is either one (or both) salvageable?

And is it worth trying, going forward?

I have a hard time thinking either is salvageable, and even if they are, how long will it take, and is it worth the headaches and always having to cover for their absence in the meantime?

Irving for a fact isn’t salvageable. He’s pretty much confirmed himself that he doesn’t care about football and is throwing his career away. He’s had a troubled past, but is going down a more troubled road.

Gregory has flashes of success. He actually gets on the field and many of us thought he was doing pretty good for a while til today, however, that leads to some concern. From what I’ve seen, Gregory has some pretty bad mental issues. Depression, anxiety, other stuff like that. It seems weed has helped him with that and I’m not sure he’s gonna let it go. And it’s harder to let someone with said issues go like that. I’m not sure on Gregory and I think the Jones’ are, but I’m not sure if that’s the right take.

I think Gregory is finished. I don't expect to see him in the NFL again. Irving seems to just be a knucklehead with a bad attitude - I think he'll find his way to another team.

I really don't know anymore:( but it's a big difference between being poached off a practice squad and burning a second round pick for talent that has character issues.
****** I'm disappointed:banghead::banghead: but I believe it's time to move on.

Gregory's mental issues, be it dependency, bi-polar issues, etc. Obviously need more help than a professional football team can give him. And at the same time, he serves no purpose to that team while he deals with those problems. They have tried, and failed.
Irving - just a waste. A waste of talent, a waste of money, a waste of a 2 cent head. Good riddance.

If the Jones want to continue to help Gregory, who by most accounts wants to be a productive person. Admit him, help him with clinical rehab or what ever they determine he needs. But his place on the team is done.

How far exactly do we want to explore the sunk-cost fallacy?

This is why people like me have been saying you have to view Irving and Gregory as icing on the cake, never part of the plan. Take what you get but build your roster with the assumption they won't be available for all 16 games, if any at all.

Once again, another thing has occurred that has driven DLaw's price up, this time also driving up our need to resign him.

I have no problem with Jerry continuing to try and help Gregory. Doesn’t effect the cap
But this will be another lost season for him so from a team perspective you have to move on
If one day he beats his demons I hope he has a long productive life. But it’s slim chance it will be in the nfl

I was very distracted today. Just realized Gregory got suspended. What an absolute idiot that guy is. I was a supporter. No more. They need to get rid of these types.

The question is can he be salvaged
He has everything lined up for him
Will he remove his head, grow a heart and take advantage
boy I sure hope so.
he has a chance...its all up to him.
I've defended his selection but its getting harder and harder to.

If you are bi-polar studies show that marijuana are more likely to make things worse. Randy just needs to find the right doctor and regiment. Else, he will continue to circle the drain.
