Is 90 too early for Bryce Love?

Yes.

1. He’s not a proven receiver and the offensive scheme can’t be blamed because McCafferey was prolific.

2. He’s got a thin build (relatively speaking) for the position; reminds me of Trung Candidate.

3. He struggled mightily in 2018; YPC dropped by half; yards dropped by half (in 10 games); one game of 100+ yards

4. He’s coming fresh off an ACL so his rookie season is limited at best/a complete wash at worst

Fine with the guys DAL has brought in...gotta hit the ground running...need healthy RBs.

Any RB at #90 would be a waste of a pick.

Zeke is one of the most durable players in the league and will be franchised/given a 2nd contract with the draft capital we used on him. I'd rather get a guy that can contribute right away over an insurance policy at #90.

I wouldn’t draft love. I wouldn’t draft any RB at 90. Zeke is durable, can carry the ball 30+ if needed and is a threat. He shouldn’t be taken off the field.

Give me Mike Weber later in the draft. Keep drafting DT and a redshirt tackle there

No chit. Plus, this dude is an injury waiting to happen. It's not just the ACL, dude had a myriad of injury issues all season.

A RB in the 5th or later, sure. Ty Johnson, Maryland, would be nice in the 5th.

I like Weber, but I doubt he makes it past the 3rd.

I don’t mind a RB at 90 but Love ain’t the guy.

Yeah, Zeke is durable until he isn’t.

Zeke clearly was slowing down the last quarter of the season and he even made mention of it. The point is not to replace him, but rather spell him to keep him fresh, particularly late in the season and presumably for a deep postseason run.

I’d have no problem spending pick 90 on a RB like Darell Henderson from Memphis; he reminds me a bit of Chris Johnson.

I'm a big fan of the player; however, the value of drafting smallish RBs that are not considered work horses is that good ones are available in the mid rounds.

Love without injury issues at #90 would be about right; however, teams should plan on redshirting him as a rookie due to the ACL and possibly other lingering injury issues.

Pass receiving and blocking are also concerns with Love. Some smallish RBs can learn to pass block and some can't. He didn't catch many passes in college; although he looked good when he did.

I would draft him in the 4th.

MY NEW RB IN THE 4 TH

L.J. Scott, RB, Michigan State
Height: 6-0. Weight: 227. Arm: 32.13. Hand: 9.38.
Projected 40 Time: 4.60. Three Cone: 7.27.
Bench: 21. Vertical: 33. Broad: 10-0.
Projected Round (2019): 4-6.
4/6/19: Two NFL running backs coaches told me that Scott impressed them at the combine with how he looked running the ball in the field drills and his work as a receiver. Scott was injured for a lot of 2018 and missed eight games. As such he had just 79 carries, which he turned into a total of 263 yards - 3.3 average. Scott also had 10 receptions for 95 yards. The injuries could cause Scott to slide even though he has the skill set of an early-rounder.

8/28/18 According to NFL teams' preseason data provided by team sources, Scott checks in at 6-foot, 225 pounds. He has 32.13-inch arms and 9.5-inch hands. He is said to run the 40 in 4.60 seconds.

Scott averaged 4.5 yards per carry in 2017 for 898 yards and eight touchdowns. He totaled 20 receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown as well. Sources think that Scott is more than just a power back. They like Scott's surprising speed and believe he has the athletic ability to be more than a North-South runner. He is patient and has feet that can make tacklers miss. He needs to work on his ball security though.

Scouts think that Scott could be even more athletic and quicker if he drops some weight. They talk about how Le'Veon Bell was too heavy at Michigan State and became a different player after losing weight at the direction of the Steelers. Scott may not get a lot of notice, but teams are eyeing him as a value pick. Scott ran for 994 yards on 184 carries - a 5.4-yard average - with six touchdowns as a sophomore.

HAVE HIM DROP 20 LBS

Anything earlier than the third day is too early. I wouldn't be shocked if we drafted no RB's and went with FA's.

The only RB I wouldn't be upset with at 90 is Damien Harris .
