I have a hard time buying into the fact that any defender in this draft class is worthy of the 10th overall pick. Three have been discussed extensively as possibly with that pick. The two cbs and Parsons.

One of the two CBs is injured and he is probably the better of the two (Farley). I can’t imagine someone taking him in the top 10. Parsons reportedly has off the field issues. Are you taking a troubled player at #10? Sartain seems solid but unspectacular, without makeup speed. You can get guys like that anywhere in the draft.

Is there really a defender worthy of the #10 pick in THIS draft class? I think the smart money is betting NO, there is not.

No need to over reach but if several guys are graded similar take the defensive player CB or DT preferably.

I think Surtain is legit top 10 pick. I do have concerns with Farley given the issues with his back. Surtain is a physical CB who despite that did not have a single penalty called on him last season. QB seldom threw his way and he excels in man and zone coverages.

CB Patrick Surtain Jr played for CB Patrick Surtain Sr in high school. So junior has been born and bred for the NFL since day one. But I don't think Jr last the test of time, in the NFL, like his dad. I still say Jr becomes average after about five years.

I say we just trade back to 13-17 range.

I have a hard time believing that this draft is so bad on the defensive side of the ball that a team could not find a all pro.

Surtain is every bit worth the 10 pick. Some people believe that and some don’t. I happen to think that he is the #1 target of the FO. Could be wrong but we’ll see.

If you play Parsons like Dware in a 34, he’s worth a top 10 pick. Personally, I might change the defense to fit him or a Justin Houston type player. Other then that no I don’t think so maybe Surtain, but I don’t really like DBs just get to the Qb. If your playing a good qb he will dump to a slot wr, te, or rb so get some better LBs.

Trade back, makes sense?

Well if Michael Irvin has his way it’s Surtain! Just saw his interview on NBC5 and he said he’s pushing Jerry.

We need to stop worrying about value and worry more about guys not being busts like Taco, LVE, and Trysten Hill. Missing on high picks the last few years is a big reason the defense stinks. Give me production over projection.
