I'm turning more positive on the Cowboys.
The contrarian in me.
I like what we've done so far.
1. Coaches shutting up and keeping team information in-house (first time in two years)
2. Process of extending Ware
3. Firing Read and Stewart
4. Replacing Read with someone potentially significantly better
5. Severing ties with PacMan and hopefully Tank as well
6. JJ/Wade acknowledging that that things MUST change. No more 13-3 stuff, or we were just a play from going all the way, or that if not for the injuries we're a Super Bowl team, or any more Super Bowl talk.
I think JJ/Stephen/Wade realize that we play sloppy football (as Wade referred to our TOs and penalties after the season ended), Romo needs to be reigned in, we need to RUN the football and have a more balanced attack, etc.
There was complete acceptance that a lot needs to change for this franchise to get to the next level.
Very different mindset this time around than after we lost to the Giants. After the Giants loss in the playoffs in 2007, the attitude was "the better team lost the game".
This time, it's "we got a lot to improve upon".
To me, that's encouraging.
