Ok, now I get it. You're giving a contrast of pre-training camp events as it applies to the T.O. book signing; and the timeliness of it all.
Acually these are two entirely different events. My having No idea of Jason Wittens' cooking event is indicative of the media coverage provided to TO versus Wittens.
Coupled with the fact that TO has a trail of history that could be considered baggage. Witten, on the other hand, has a good reputation.
Besides, the content of Wittens event has a positive connotation versus the TO event having a precarious content filled with drama.
Bottom line is that in one event you have a player representing the good name of the team by doing something positive in the community. The other event is questionable and drws attention to a self profiteer.
Two totally different activities.
