Brandon Cook is not in the above article but he is probably the quickest player on the Cowboys team

Yeh, and I'm tried to compile the fastest WRs who translates speed to the playing field.

NFL combine 40 time king John Ross still owns that record but he's long been an utter career bust as a NFL player.

In case anyone was wondering Will fuller has retired I believe.

Turpin was hardly used as a WR and really would only be effective in the slot role running Beasley type of patterns due to his shorter stature.
How is his size a factor in deep balls? TY Hilton is 5'09" just like Turpin. Cole did not have the speed of a Hilton or of Turpin. I do think Turpin will get a chance to be more involved but he pretty much played 2 seasons last year 1st in XFL then in the NFL will little time to rest.

Turpin is as much a WR as Tavon Austin, he is a gadget guy and has shown zero ability to be a true WR. Can he catch yes, but there is more to WR than just catching. If the only route he can run is a GO then it would be dumb to use him as a WR.

It’s a tough assignment, as downfield production isn’t necessarily speed-centric.

For instance, the best WRs over the last few years as per yards per catch (a stat normally dominated by speedsters such as DeSean Jackson and Rocket Ismail) have been Davante Adams and AJ Brown, a couple 4.4x guys. They do it with physicality, deceptive route running, and excellent 50/50 ball skills. So to your John Ross point, he’s not great at those other things, so his speed doesn’t matter as much. Conversely, Adams does those other things so well that HIS speed doesn’t matter as much in the other way.

So how would you really define how speed is reflected? Yards of separation? Again, route running will impact that as much as 40 time. Times Wr has beaten the coverage? Guys like Tyreek Hill will be doubled constantly so it’ll happen less to him than to Jaylen Waddle, when Tyreek is the faster guy. It’s a pickle

Doesn’t need to be the fastest, just needs to get separation

Not dumb to give him the opportunity in camp, which Cowboys have said they plan on doing. I find often in life there are always people saying what you can or can't do, Kurt Warner was told a lot of what he can't do until he got the chance to prove it. I don't know if he can or can't just willing to allow him the opportunity to show it. One min you say he would have to run slot routs like Beasley yet when I say he has a lot more speed than Beasley and same size as Hilton all of a sudden he is nothing more than a gadget guy? lol Come on you don't know what he can or can't do nor do I but at least I'm more than willing to allow them the chance to show it before making any comments on his ability
