Some here have suggested he is going to be cheaper than Thomas.

Here they talk about him as the Giants are about to let him walk.

Of course he plays SS and not FS.

Which means replacing Heath.

Which is needed also IMO.

Time to weed the garden if we are trying to move into SB contention.

Agree or no?

Landon (it's not Brandon) Collins is a completely different player than Earl Thomas and plays a completely different position.

Brandon? haha

I'd sign Landon in a heartbeat, but I'm sure the team will come out with some nonsense about either being broke, he doesn't fit our scheme or we like our guys. Maybe all three.

I'll also add that I don't think Landon has played a Pro Bowl level since 2016.

Can't seeing paying that kind of money for one dimensional S. He is a really good player for what he is, unconventional for today's passing league.

This sums it up. Anyone is an upgrade over Heath but Collins is more of an in the box type guy. There are better options. It says a lot the Giants are willing to let him walk.

This is the part that i don't believe people are properly looking at. How good has he been these last couple years? What are you buying?

Not saying he might not be an upgrade .... but his price needs to fit his contribution.

If it means replacing Heathcliff, I'm up for signing his dad Thomas Collins.

Yeah.

Spellchecker error..can't change it..sorry..editor will not allow access.

I believe I noted his position in the post.

You need to retake your Carnegy speed reading course again..

your lack of retention is showing.

:omg:

Your lack of understanding is showing.

Landon Collins and Earl Thomas don't play the same position.

The answer is a strong "no." Not only do we not need a SS type, Collins' play fell off last year. He's not worth the money (if he even gets big money in this bloated market). No way I would sign him. Either ET, or a guy like Joyner or Amos. Otherwise, just draft one.

Probably could get Brandon Collins for about $50,000 a year...... But.....

We STILL like our guys.......

We'll sign a Brandon Collins at safety.

Not someone like Landon.

That's what I'm thinking. Someone named Brandon Collins probably has a much better chance of ending up here than Landon.

Rumor out of new York is that he is also looking for something averaging 15m per year and is fairly one dimensional and was exposed in coverage after the giants a had to play him there more this past season!

Ill take him, rather have a ballhawk like Earl, we need the INTS bad
