Not that surprising when you think about it.

The dude is 6'7", healthy, and has now had a full off season of proper nutrition/workouts.

Canty, Spears, and Ware are all gonna be scary this year.

Yes, Canty said he weighed 305 lbs and that he has to lose 5 lbs.

I'm 6'7" and look nearly fit at 265. I can only imagine 300 but athletic. His muscles will have muscles.

I'm 6'3" and 265, too bad it's not all muscle.

Maybe he'll block a couple field goals this year.
You know, we have drafted some big boys the last couple of years. I won't be surprised if we do block a couple of FG's this year.

just as long as it doesn't affect his quickness, I'm ok w/ the weight gain.

I think it would be cool to have a sig with Spears, Canty and Hatcher with Parcells Planet quote. I hope Canty lives up to it.

Being that he's on the defensive line... I'm more concerned with strength... If he's stronger than last year, which should be a given, his straight line speed will be better... let the LBers run down the lateral plays.

I'm sure the training staff and Jurazek work on that also. Gain weight, build muscle and keep quickness, or in some cases be more quick, faster. The fat could slow them down, and now that it's muscle, it doesn't.

Which is why I think we will see a big improvement from Petitti this year.
