I'm sorry if i missed it, but did Danny Coale return to practice? And if so how does he look? I really want to see what this guy can do on the field!

He got a lot of PT yesterday and should be in the upcoming game.

I dunno, but I tweeted your question to some of the reporters...

Yep, he's there

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins Danny Coale with 2 drops in individuals.

Practice ends with Romo TD pass to Danny Coale. Would be reviewed but feet might have been down. Chargers crying

Just to balance out that tweet a bit :D

One positive about Coale, and I'm taking a bit of a guess here, is that he seems to know his routes, where to line up, the playbook, etc.

I haven't read anything where he doesn't know his assignment.

That's a good sign, imo.

Of course, it will take him some time to get the rust off. But I would think as long as he is healthy, that another week or two of practice would do wonders for him.

He is back, apparrantly he knows the plays, routes and read, all he has to do is perform well and get that rust off and he'll contribute next game.

I think Holmes has a better chance of sliding onto the practice squad, compared to Coale. I'd drop Holmes.

With his back injury, pretty good odds that may happen. But I haven't seen any reports on his back either.
I have not been that impressed with Holmes. He made a few decent catches in the Raiders game. But so did a few others too.
