Rex Ryan must love him.McGovern has great feet. That was one of his selling points.

There were rumblings about the lineman being relieved with the switch to Markus Paul due to the previous S&C coaches insistence on heavy weight lifting. Wouldn’t be surprised if the previous guys aggravated itI was re-reading his draft profile on NFL.com, http://www.nfl.com/draft/2011/profiles/connor-mcgovern?id=2555133, and this line stood out to me, " One of the strongest players in college football, McGovern has broken weight room records at Mizzou (like a 690-pound squat) and actually tore his pectoral muscle trying to bench 515 pounds.".
Didn't realize he injured his pectoral before joining the NFL at one point. Of course he injured it in MC and had some setbacks this past year. Was that injury also due to trying to bench some high number as well?
I think McGovern's a year away. I really think Williams is our guard next year and Looney is our center.
Dak struggled with calls with Looney at Center. Dak should be much better at that now so hopefully that won't be an issue.Looney
OUCH!! Yah we completely disagree. How do you explain sacks going from 56 with Looney in 2018 to 23 with Fredericks return in 2019. ONLY difference in personnel was Looney. Everyone else was the same.wow what a take! i disagree but hey to each his or her own. I thought looneys performance in 18 was actually a bit better than Travis in 19 and Zeke led the league in rushing in 18. Unless there was a regression of some sort Looney is just fine and Im not interested in center before round 4

According to whom?Hell No Connor Williams is nothing more than a backup or swing tackle.
Thank you for always bringing solid context to this forum first and foremost, posters like you introduce options, like Ruiz.
On a side note, I recently had a brief stay at the Myrtles Plantation in a really cool little town outside of Baton Rouge, Saint Francisville.
Some of the best BBQ Ive had in a while, forgot the name, but it was the little place with the line out the door, right next to a Very big restaurant with and amazing deck built around an enormous Oak tree.
You might be familiar with the place.
Don’t forget how terrible Alexander was as the new OL coach. He screwed everyone up that season. Terrible.my explanation would be the same thing I said in 2018 . Connor Williams was atrocious early on he got better later. A receiving corps that was garbage early on until coopers arrival. Dak was holding the ball too long that attributed to sacks and lastly Looney and Martins adjustment time each other so yes Looney has a role in those sacks but he played well IMO
The previous regime, almost in its entirety, was an exercise in who could evolve along with the game at the slowest pace. There were rumblings about the lineman being relieved with the switch to Markus Paul due to the previous S&C coaches insistence on heavy weight lifting. Wouldn’t be surprised if the previous guys aggravated it
This sounds the most likelyI think McGovern's a year away. I really think Williams is our guard next year and Looney is our center.

You are talking about Connor last season. What his tape was then has nothing to do with what he can do this season.According to the film, He was always getting help by Fredrick or Smith during game. This pulled down their own production trying to baby sit weak *** Connor.
