Is Cooks a fit for the West Coast offense?

Typically the WRs are a bit bigger, and are great to use on the much used slant route. I'm not bashing him or the cowboys for anything, just asking how he fits in this offensive system. I'm hearing that in this offense, deep passes aren't really happening that often.

Now does it mean we can't deviate from the typical? I feel we can use him in many ways, on any kind of route called. Please give your thoughts...
