Is Dak Prescott a legitimate MVP candidate for 2026?

That is false.

He was 2nd team in 2023. That's it.

Never was he a legitimate candidate for MVP.

Correcting your falsehoods is not hating.

He absolutely was a contender. His numbers that year were historically equal to or better than most MVP QBs.

The team record wasn’t as good as the Ravens, the Ravens had a higher quality of wins (we had some bad losses), and Lamar was insane, particularly on the ground. The defense failed in some big games. Dak had one really bad game

He had a 0% chance at winning. That means you're not in the running.

You can have the 2nd best year of all time, but if another guy has the best of all time and you're not close, then you're not a contender. In other words, when the #1 guy runs away with it, being number 2 doesn't mean you had a shot.

The contrarians aren’t really making thst argument. Their intent is to discredit his performance in 2023 (and every other year).

He absolutley had MVP worthy stats and saying he didn’t means there’s a long line of winners who didn’t deserve it because their performance was sub par.

Mark Moseley won a ridiculous protest MVP in 1982 despite Dan Fouts having a truly elite season.

Fouts didn’t win, that doesn’t mean he was never a contender.

Absolutely. He lead one of the top offenses in the NFL last season. Definitely not predicting he will win but he should be in the running if a successful season follows.
