I remember this discussion being held shortly after the 2010 draft and both receivers' rookie season.

I remember Cowboys fans laughing at even the suggestion that DT might be better than DB.

So what say ye now? Who is the better receiver because it seems DT has improved from his rookie season.

i think that both receivers are playing the same. each shows flashes of being a number one receiver but so far have not lived up to that yet.

Yes. I don't understand how anyone could say otherwise. Dez has potential to be better but we've all had this discussion about 30 times already.

Pretty sure D. Thomas has been consistent.

Of course Demaryius is better right now. Anyone that says otherwise is a homer.

well the main question on him was that he played on a GT team that barely threw similar to the discussions about Stephen Hill this year.

he's definitely got good size and speed....and working with Manning has helped him at becoming a WR.

they both have their flaws right now...DT seems to have issues with concentration regarding ball security and his route tree is limited right now.

Dez obviously has some concentration issues too...but we've seen his understanding of routes get better.

i think Dez still has the higher ceiling but only time will tell who becomes the better WR

Thomas is off to a heck of a start, but let's keep in mind Denver has a competent offensive line unlike the Cowboys. Therefore his quarterback has time in the pocket to get him the football. Not the case with Dez and his quarterback. I'd still take Dez.

With everything that they gave up for him, he better be good.

Briggs and Tillman both have 2 more Tds than Dez has...

They're both better receivers than him too

I haven't seen enough of the Broncos or Thomas to really know one way or the other. I can't imagine many other folks on here could legitimately say the same w/o doing research.

One or two games on TV don't tell the whole story.

I think I've seen every Broncos game this season. He had one game where he looked a little sluggish. Other than that he has been an all-star and Manning's #1 receiver. Decker on the other hand sucks. If the question was "is Eric Decker better than Dez Bryant?" the answer would be an emphatic NO!

The reason I always watch Broncos games is because I'm a huge fan of Manning. I will never turn down an opportunity to watch him play.

Terrific logic.
I think he was being sarcastic... you never know with some people here though.

Thomas has definitely improved as a player.

Dez's only hold back right now is he doesn't have the mental aspect.

Being in his 3rd year, not knowing your your assignments is a big concern.

Also, that lackadaisical crap he pulled the other night in trying to get lined up correctly is just unacceptable.

I'm holding out hope that he "gets it" because he could be dominant. If Dez does get the mental aspect, I think he'll produce just as much as any WR in the league.

Right now though, if you want a player who knows what he's doing and can help your team on a consistent basis I think Thomas would be the guy you'd pick.

Dez is still far too unpolished at this moment.
