Is Dez a bigger team problem than some are willing to admit?

Im not approaching this in a flat out negative way, but for discussion sake... What do you guys feel about him?

Here are a few points to consider.

1) Offense was doing GREAT without him. Dak looked incredibly comfortable with the offense, they didn't miss a beat, and Dak wasn't trying to force feed anyone so to speak.

2) Dez returns and Dak looks uncomfortable, and he was ignoring what was making him great. Offense looked not on the same page. I feel Dez was not running correct routes on MANY plays. Dak kept trying to get him the ball no matter what and it cost us much of the game.

3) Dez now making comments on how good Romo is looking, etc... I think it is great that Romo is looking better. But, do you want all the players second guessing everything about who should be starting? Will Dak purposely throw to him more to keep him happy so to speak?

The team is likely to stick with Dak from here, but let's not forget how well they were doing in Dez's absence. I want Dez to be here with a good attitude and he is an incredible talent. But, do you guys feel the team is a little worse off as a result? Anyone have any thoughts?

I personally feel Dez is NOT a problem and this narrative that is being portrayed about him is silly.

Dak looked uncomfortable because Philly has a great D

Dez is a team player and always has been - he has heart and plays hard -

It drove me nuts last week when everytime Dak threw Dez the ball people were screaming they are forcing the ball to Dez GIVE ME A BREAK

Dez is not the problem and never was ! I personally am tired of this discussion this is no way a reflection of you Gabe just why is everyone trying to create a problem when there isn't one. Just enjoy this seasons journey !

I truly hope everything you said is the case. I think the team will win regardless... These are just some observations I have made. I very well could be off base with it all.

This guy makes his stupid agenda posts about Romo and Dez everyday.
Sorry to break it to you, but I've turned over a new leaf. I don't have any bad intent with this post. Let me repeat, I want Dez to be here with a good attitude and he is an incredible talent. What I've posted could for sure be a concern however.

Two touchdowns last game were a direct result of plays by Dez.
  • The long pass over the top to set up a score
  • The TD where he reached over and around the defenders to get the ball...nobody else makes that play.
Who knows, maybe Dallas loses by 7-10 points last week without him? I honestly don't know. I do know that he helped.

Your new leaf should be not to post anymore. You are not fooling anybody with your horribly disguised agenda.

IMO there is zero to discuss around this topic. It shocks me anyone would think there is and that could be a topic of discussion.

Off-topic: If he would be posed the question, I bet Prescott would say he would have loved having Bryant to throw to at Mississippi State. Similarly, I bet Prescott would be the last person on Earth to question Bryant's importance in his current offense.

I take the last part back. I lied. Prescott wouldn't say it if he were the last person on Earth either.

I respectfully disagree 100%

1. NYG was Dak's first professional start. Dak/Dez and the offense also looked great vs wash and chi before Dez missed time scoring 27 and 31 respectfully. I honestly think we lose the philly game without Dez. Of course the offense may take a step back while Dez gets back into the rhythm of the offense. Philly has an excellent defense and simply has our number especially at at&t so I wouldn't read too much into it. Also Dez opens up the field and how bout that TD in crunch time? In a tough divisional game like that you need a superstar to make a play where your guy is simply better than everyone else. You can count on one hand the amount of receivers that haul in that pass. The level of difficulty was at a 10 on a scale of 1-10.

2. If you watch shows like First Take that interpret a sound bite any way they choose to create an intriguing topic. A reporter asked Dez how Romo looked and of course he's complimentary. Why shouldn't he be. You also have to take into account how incredibly complimentary he's been of Dak all season to the point where one might assume that he's slighting Tony. I saw him saying "Dak for President" before the Cincinnati game. I've heard him talk about how Dak wasn't phased all game while trailing philly. He stated that "you can follow a guy like that." All season long he's been singing Dak's praises.

Dak and Dez looked great in pre-season and through the first three games. Give some credit to philly's defense.

I don't think he is a problem. I think he is a great player who is limited by what this offense is doing right now and it frustrates him. I truly believe Romo with this offense would be doing unbelievable things and Dez would be having an amazing season like he did in 2014.

That being said, Dak will eventually get it with Dez. It may take a while though.

I can see what you are saying. Good thing is that are already doing unbelievable things. I hope Dez can fix his attitude and start being more consistent with his route running and catching the football.

Crazy that all the WR not considered elite "get it" perfectly.

I've obviously never played QB at a high level but I have in high school and recreational football.

There's some guys you immediately gel with...can even be away from one another for a long time and pick right up where you left off. My best friend played tight end and I swear, there were times I'd be in trouble and he would be right where I looked like we were thinking the same.

Then there's guys you have to work with and learn with.

Then there's guys you never get it with totally.

I think Tony and Dez are the first one naturally(and because Romo taught Dez) and Dez and Dak are the middle one. I think Dez and Dak are both too talented to not eventually get it.
