Love Dez but I can't help but think of this:
Maybe Dez looks up to him.
Could someone school me on what the "X" stands for tbh
The X means The X Factor. Source: his twitter, but also...
Dante Hall AKA "The X Factor" AKA "The Human Joystick" is from Lufkin TX just like Dez. And just like me. Dante threw eggs at my friend's mom's car one night, haha. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when Dez was drafted by the Cowboys, like so many other people from Lufkin. Hometown hero for sure.
Anyways, I think the X that Dez throws up is kind of an homage to Dante of sorts, but I can't confirm that right now. I'll ask around my Lufkin peeps. If not an homage, then it's quite the coincidence considering their origins and the slim chance that each of them would even make it to the NFL.
When Dante had the ball, he was very much like how we know Dez with the rock today: beastmode. From peewee league and beyond, Dez has always been a beast among men on the field.
As an aside, lil ole Lufkin has had quite a bit of football talent come out of it: Dez Bryant, Dante Hall, Reggie McNeal, Rex Hadnot, Terrence Kiel (RIP), Jorvorskie Lane, Jermichael Finley (played high school ball next door at Diboll though, even though him and Dez could have been on THE SAME HS TEAM, whaaaaat), Don Muhlbach, Ken Houston, and if we're lucky Carrington Byndom at UT will ball out of control as a dback this year on his way to the pros.
