Any word on this guy? is he practicing? it will be ridiculous if he's a no go this week

Again, a bruised quad can be extremely painful. I've had one. It felt like I was being stabbed in the leg when running. I couldn't imagine someone trying to perform in an NFL game when dealing with that injury.

Sometimes your body just won't allow you to do what your mind wants it to do. There's no question that Dez wants to play. If he doesn't it'll be because he simply can't.

I agree on the pain...and I had one through a thigh pad as a linebacker. You can play through it, often. The Cowboys had to ensure that there was no bone broken in addition, at that price range.

When I had one my leg kept just collapsing under me unexpectedly, in addition to the pain. No way I could have played with that and been effective at all. I have a feeling even if Dez plays he'll look more like the Dez in the last half of the Jets game than the monster we're used to.

I think he's gonna be out for a long time and if not, he'll just reinjure something else...he's just not ready to handle the NFL for 16 games. We might not see Dez utilize his full potential until maybe 2012. He needs a full year in an NFL strength and conditioning program, something he hasn't had yet because of his injury in college and the lockout this year.

We need to prepare for games without him this season. Just develop Ogletree, Holley, and Harris

No practice was held today.

Yeah, I forgot we had a Monday night game. But this gives us one more day to hope he gets healthy. I have a feeling he'll be in the game.

You can workout 7 days a week 24 hours a day and it will not stop certain injuries from happening. If our ankle is bent back and heavy weight lands on top, your going to suffer a high ankle sprain and there is nothing you can do to stop this. Right now he is dealing with a Quad bruise and all the working out and strenght is not going to stop this from happening or make it heal any faster.
