Dez Bryant signed Drew Rosenhaus as his agent.
Agent do not get paid until he ges a contract under that agent. So all the money he is getting paid now goes to his first agent.

If he holds out for more money then I am for sure done with this clown.

so youve created a scenario in your head and used it to turn on Dez?....awesome

If tends to be a big word around here. :laugh2:

I would at least wait and see before coming down on Dez for something he has not done

Kind of what I got out of this. Lets find more ways to dump on Dez.

to say this is a reach is to call the Pacific Ocean wide and deep.

Nope Mic and rob was talking about it and brought it up. So I'm just saying if he does I'm dome. Why else hire drew as a agent, you know drew wants some money and he doesn't get any until dez gets a new contract

Well, at least Rosenhaus is capable of planning for the future, unlike some Cowboys' fans.

I think it's fair to bring it up as a hypothetical.

If that happens this offseason, I would fully support trading him. If he's going to force our hand and make a decision on a long term investment, I'd choose to move on.

Hold out for what? The dude hasn't been a consistent, productive WR. The guy knows how to run three routes and only knows one WR position on the field. I won't even get to the off the field issues. Next question.

The guy was the second best receiver on the team last season behind an UDFA that was cut from several teams and only second best because Miles was injured most of the time. What exactly does Dez use for leverage at this point?

It's an absurd notion and if it happened it would be the end of his career in Dallas.

First off, Dez has done nothing to warrant anymore money. In fact, if he was a free agent and wanted more than $5-6 million a year, I think I would pass and let him go elsewhere. Second, his off the field issues make asking for more money at this point laughable. I think I'd let him sit if he and Drew decided to hold out. Sign Robinson, draft another WR, and maybe go get a cheap veteran late in free agency and Dez can sit for as long as he wants in my book. Third, while its true a new agent gets nothing accept new endorsement money until there is a new contract, they also don't have to do anything until it's time to get a new deal done. Dez is talented enough that almost everyone expects that his next contract will be very big so no agent is going to turn him down even if its a year or two before that new deal comes. If he was actually lighting it up, I'd be worried about this but at his current pace, not so much.

Meteors might strike the stadium, too.

Rosenhaus has a gazillion clients. He can easilly afford to wait til Dez's contract year negotiations to reap his rewards. Rosenhaus will get way more money off this if Dez has a killer 3rd season than if he were to agitate for a new contract now.

This is pretty pointless speculation, even for the off season.

Hopefully Dez will be traded and Dallas won't have to worry about this idiot anymore, he'll be someone else's problem

Not that it totally matters...but Robinson was a 3rd round pick.

And Dez had more catches and yards with only 2 less TDs.

Let's not get confused here, Robinson had a nice season, but a lot of it was aided by the fact that Dez got double covered because of his superior ability.

Hold out for what? He's already under contract and he isn't even playing close to a level to warrant a new one.

2nd best? Dez was constantly double covered and was still our leading reciever. As of right now Dez Bryant is the best reciever on this team.
