I think that's right. The Cowboys just need to weather the storm.
Guys there will be no storm! I mean am I the only one that can see this?
The Giants are simply not that good! I have watch these guys play and there are only two games that I will give them credit for winning. The comeback win against Philly ( which was over until the meltdown by Philly) and the Atlanta win ( the only true display of their defense and the exposure of the soap fingers of the falcon receivers). Let's check on common opponents.
Giants Result Score
Indy Loss 26-21
(
statistically one of Eli's better games, they just loss to a better team)
Philly Won 30-24
(
Eli's best game of the season but this game was more about the Philly meltdown)
Commanders Won 19-3
(
Defense played great but offense struggled. First game after bye week)
Tampa Bay Won 17-3
(
Defensse played great again. Bucs offense fumbled 6 times. Offense 143 yard passing)
Houston Won 14-10
(Was trailing until the last minutes of the game.)
Jacksonville Loss 26-10
(
Probably the worst game of the season for the Giants. Offense was a non-factor).
Tennessee Loss 24-21
(
Totol meltdown loss against a lesser opponent. Eli throws two 4th ints to set up loss)
Cowboys
Indy Win 21-14
(
Romo wins the battle of the NFL's top rated qb and ends Indy's unbeaten streak)
Philly Loss 38-24
(
Bledsoe!)
Commanders Win 27-10
(
Cowboys win with Bledsoe but defense shuts down their top receiver)
Tennessee Win 45-14
(Cowboys dominate on both sided of the ball)
Houston Win 34-6
(
Bledsoe stuggles to move offense in first half, but team pulls away in the second half. Get first glimpse of Romo)
Tampa Bay Win 38-10
(
Romo throw 5 tds and defense dominates. Overall team win)
Jacksonville Loss 24-17
(
Bledsoe throw 3 picks)
My point of comparison is we have dominated common opponents while the Giants have struggled. Even in our losses it was more because of our mistakes than the other teams dominance. The Giants will lose because they are simply not that good.
Again they defense can be o.k. but our offense can and will score on them.
I will be back on Sunday night to tell you i told you so!
