Is everyone buying out the gun stores in your area?

The mods can delete this if they feel the need to do so. I was just wandering if this panic style buying is everywhere? I was downtown waiting for my daughter hair to be finished and walked in my local gun store and it was crazy. I know them pretty well its a small store but they had sold 65 guns the day before and at 2pm another 30. The only ar was 2000.00. This is not a political post I'm just wondering if it's like this everywhere in our country right now. I mean really it looked like the grocery store before a snow storm.

My roommate bought a .45 and a 9mm Sig after the election. He said the gun store was selling like crazy.

I just flew home to North Dakota and went into a sporting goods store and I was talking to one of the managers. He said that they just got a shipment full of assault rifles and they were sold out within 3 days.

When I was in there looking at the guns, there were at least 8-10 people filling out paper work, the most I have seen at one time.

Read a report that Smith and Wesson stock went up 8.5% DURING POTUS speech. :laugh1:

I laid away a Springfield xds cause my mother in law was getting me a gift certificate for Christmas to shop. I was very surprised at the number of females in the store asking questions. I think its great to see people interested in self defense.

It certainly seems so.
I saw this reported the other day:

RANDOLPH - New Jersey gun stores say they’re seeing a significant jump in sales since the tragic school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.

The owner of RTSP in Randolph says sales of long guns have especially taken off with sales increasing by more than 100 percent.

If you can talk about increasing gun sales and that only then we can leave this open. If you people insist on straying into definite non-grey areas then it will be closed. Political posts esp gun laws will be deleted and are subject to infractions.

Thanks jobberone!

There is a major sports good store just a few blocks from me...never been in it before, but I think I am going to trundle over there to get a read on how it is going in their gun department. Never owned one before, but I do love my crossbow :)

And who knows, I might decide to buy myself a Christmas present if it isn't too crazy in there...

I imagine that there's also some 'investment' buying going on right now. Both at the small and medium scale. Given what the prices did during the last 'ban', medium to large magazines appreciated strongly in value, as supply was diminished. Of course the super large magazines tend to have more problems, jamming and such.

Percieved scarcity causing a run. I am sure that all sorts of firearms are getting a sales boost.

It is crazy.

I'm thinking about trading in a spare 9mm handgun I have for a lever action and a shotgun.
