Is Ferguson even a jag?

His blocking is putrid. If you need a 3 yard route he specializes in it and he may as well put flags on at first contact. Why did we extend this guy? Huge waste of money. I guess he commented on his charmin blocks and had more of those today glad he's getting paid millions try putting that effort in at a 9-5.
He’s essentially what Witten was his last couple of years here. He can run one hell of a 3 yard in route, but also is a penalty machine and drops too many balls.

3 years ago, he was becoming one of my favorite players. Now .. he plays like he's 10 years older than he actually is. So disappointed.

$50 million to have chemistry with your $60 million annual QB.

Jerry loves to extend the wrong guys.
How many have we extended who’s games fell off a cliff?

He's not even in the top half of the league. Arguably not even top 20. With a $13M/yr contract.

We could get the same play out of someone on a league minimum.

Jake Ferguson is fine. I liked it when he got his extension. He has good games and bad games like anyone else. It's easy to hate on him after one of his bad games. Weak minds are just prisoners of the moment.

Ferguson is a good option at TE but lacks the speed to be a downfield threat. He'll have to do for the time being, until someone better comes along. If we're looking for someone who usually gets great yardage, we'd best keep looking. He'll catch the ball and get a few yards most often. Don't expect downfield glory on a regular basis. Dak likes him as an option under pressure. He's reliable.

Very underwhelming for sure.

Been saying it for ages, one of the worst players in the league, just a losing player. Trigg or Spann- ford full time please

Perhaps the attention should be on Schoonmaker......outside of ST......what are you getting? Fergie just the best in the TE rotation.
Ferg got a huge contract. Schoon is still on his rookie deal and is for all intents and purposes gone after this season.

Just look at the recent deals the Cowboys got done early (for them) and how they've turned out:

-Jake Ferguson: Just read this thread
-Terence Steele: Has regressed horribly and was probably never worth what he got
-Trevon Diggs: off the team
-Osa Odighizuwa: traded to SF
-Daron Bland: Never the same since 2023 due to foot issues
-Brandon Aubrey: finally looks human

Spann-Ford a much better blocker than Freg AND is a special teams ace in kick coverage along with his fellow bombardier Hunter Leupke.
