#80 our rookie had a mistake, at that point was the game pretty much over yeah, but it seems like we can't get lucky with certain rookie Wrs. Years ago it was Tolbert that lined up off sides and it costed us. Will Flournoy be in the dog house like Tolbert was, or do we give him more time??

He gets plenty of time. It took Tolbert three years to take off and catch on

I'm reminded of the Hunter Luepke fumble last year that seemed to put him in the dog house....Flournoy is a late round rookie who is only on the active roster due to an injury. I have a feeling he struggles to get even a few snaps the rest of the way.

That was a good play by defense, let's not ignore he did catch and make positive play pre fumble. He's young and looks like a potential playmaker. What else are we doing?? Manswell let him get time

A. The game was over before that.

B. Tolbert wasn't in the dog house.

C. Do we give him (Flournoy) more time??? Jebus man he was a 6th rounder. Drafted just 6 months ago. Comon' Coog!

One catch that included a fumble turnover ...and now he's envisioned as the new Tolbert ?

He's about to turn 25 lol

Tolbert, Brooks, Flournoy, Turpin, Cooks - these are all fringe roster players on good offenses and Dallas is DEPENDENT upon them in big games. We shouldn't be talking about Flournoy, ever.

I understand you are questioning if Flournoy will be treated as Tolbert was based off a past mistake.

BUT my bigger picture concern would be IF attaining Tolbert status as a WR2 for the Dallas Cowboys is the goal, then maybe the bar has just been lowered a little too far.

RFlo picked a good game to be a misfit. He just blended in with the rest of the knuckleheads. He will be given more time.

very good point, seems like before the incident, he was just on there for running plays like Brooks is

Funny you say that, told the wife while watching the game we might not see this guy again the rest of the year and it would be a shame.

I think it is counterproductive to punish young players for 1 mistake. What they did with Luepke last year was foolish. There were 5 turnovers against the Lions, 4 came on the Cowboys last 4 drives, all by different players. Why punish Flournoy? If anything I would give him more chances because Dallas needs to find answers on offense. If Flournoy can get open, then that is already an improvement. The Cowboys offense is best when Dak spreads the ball around.

Flournoy will get better the more he plays. If not then you know what they have in him and can move on to someone else. What I do know is the WRs we have now are not getting it done consistently.

I would make the same argument with Luepke. I think he needs to be a bigger part of the offense. I do not see him as a star or anything, but I can see him getting some critical yards during the game. Give him some carries. Can he be any worse the Zeke?
