Is Front Office Complacent?

By the way this is far more than we expected this offseason all of it that now we got George Pickens now the fans are completely not happy because now they need more when the trade happened everybody was ecstatic and now they're going well why stop there we need everything they must be complacent you guys will never be happy...

Completely understand where it's coming from and maybe at cut downs there's gonna be other players added and subtracted and this is not over but any big names coming in that remains to be seen but right now acting like they've only done one thing this offseason is insane..​

You're asking for far too much from this front office this trade for George Pickens and all the other things they've done this offseason was far more than anybody expected they now expect me more it's just being selfish in my opinion or you're just living in fantasyland..​

I believe what they're doing is literally let's let all these camps happen let's let get through camps and let's see what we actually have and what might be missing they want to give all these young players and first year players a chance to actually show something before they see what their new list might look like like I said when roster cut downs happen trades happen things might happen before the season they might bring in Gilmore or Hilton they might even bring in the Nick Chubb be still around but they want to see right now with the roster they put together how they perform in organized practices and not the early ones we need to get into training camp and have everyone available and then you can start judging them that's what they're doing you guys are getting way ahead of this..​

Don't make me go full Jason Garrett it's a process I think they want to see what they brought in so far is going to do when things get heated and get serious and that's not now training camps not even till July twenty-third or whenever it is so let's calm down and be patient and let's see what this looks like before you say that they're doing nothing and they've gotten complacent now I don't think they have gotten complacent...​

They're now in a holding pattern they need to see what they have put together what looks like and that's not happening this week this OTA stuff heart the whole team is not there it's voluntary we need to get into real training camp..​

Toatally agree and I beleive that by the end of the day, if Dak were to miss any time, we may see a budding star in

I totally agree! While it doesn't look sexy what the offseason has brought, (except for the Pickens trade), I think the Boys have done a great job this year in preparing for the future! I also believe that if Dak misses any time this season, we may see the beginning of a young star in Milton! He is incredibly talented and with Dak helping him to mature and learn the Pro game, he could be special! We'll see!!

You’ve been paying attention long enough and well enough by now to know that they don’t have a problem leaving huge holes.

If they think they are getting a deal on a player, the two geniuses will bring him in. If not, the position goes neglected. They will absolutely do that before doing what they consider to be an overpay.

There’s also the element of things like over estimating how much impact a younger player will have, and thinking certain players are better than they actually are, in general. They don’t think they need another DT because they paid Osa. Wrong.

It’s not that they don’t care about winning, they just aren’t any good at what they do, which makes full sense since they aren’t qualified.

I have been hearing rumors about DT Reader from the lions could be in play this would be nice.

Time will tell but I'd be a little surprised if they sign another starter.

Again that's also your opinion I don't think a guy like him needs training camp he needs about two weeks to prepare for the game he's going to be playing in he can workout on his own in the gym he knows after all these years had to get himself prepared that's how you can get guys in the middle of the year where you have a bunch of injuries you bring him in in the same week they start a game I know he needs to be here for practices but all of training camp I don't know if that's necessary but camp is July 23rd so we're a long ways from that even that's why I say wait and see let's see what they think of their theme they have and then let them decide if they need to bring in other players...

No, not complacent. If anything is in the works, it may take some time.
There are no FA's out there right now that can come in and be any better than the current roster. Other than some bottom roster churning after the OTA's and mini camps.

When I say no FA's, I mean they would be considered progress stoppers at this point.
Trades are a different category. May not see those until TC.

So, they are evaluating everything right now, but not being complacent. IMO.

This off-season has been way better than 2024. But last year’s off-season was so bad there was no place to go but better. Huge holes remain at DT, RB and perhaps LB. This FO hasn’t done enough but it is better than what we usually get.

With the 20M cap rollover into 2026, the team should have around 5-10M left.

We do not?have a QB or a Backup. What does it matter. Until Dak leaves, Jerry is just rearranging the furniture on the Titanic

But I think you like him or think he is good enough so good luck with your hopium

No one can ever give me a straight answer

They restructure add money to the back end of the contract then they do nothing with the savings and roll it over to the next year

What is the point?

I will tell you. They would rather hold that money and collect interest on it

1. Revenue sharing money released over summer this is used to pay for these bigger contracts.

2. Keep money in your account and earn interest as long as you can.
