We can't say he doesn't value the position this year giving Osa 20 million and signing Solomon Thomas. I agree in years past but this year they've done some things.

He probably should have been paid somewhere in the 50 million per season range vs. the 60 million per he received! Maybe he will do a John Elway, surprise us all and get us a Super Bowl in his last years!

He's not John Elway. Elway went to 5 Super Bowls taking several of those teams to the big dance that weren't very good but for him. Dak needs the complete opposite to happen. Have a great team around him to go to a SB despite Dak.

Def agree. We've bolstered the DE position
Turner is stronger against run, Kneeland even Dono EZ. Fowler played better against run last year.

Though we don't have that bonafide stud everyone wants other than Overshown at LB I feel better about LBs this year as a while, and could see a vet brought if they think it's needed.

Even at CB Revel is an an aggressive willing tackler in run support, Elam graded out well last year in this area.

And Mazi played better 2nd half of last year. I think he builds on that this season

I agree and I meant to address that too. Thry drsftrd snd signed guys who are solid against the run so they are aware it’s not a one man problem. Great points.

You’d be unrealistic and wrong. You can hate how they addressed it but you would be wrong saying they didn’t.

I don't think it is complacency. I think it is philosophy. The Cowboys just do not believe in making big moves in free agency. They have been more active traders of late, but even then, with the exception of Pickens, they have mostly traded for lower level players.

Their philosophy gives us the impression they don't care but I think it is more of a competence issue. I think they would love to win, they are just unwilling to do what is necessary to win because they think they can be successful doing it their way.

Then again, they don't spend a lot of time talking about why they do what they do. The prefer to gaslight, and hyperbolize what they do.

You really shouldn't make silly statements like that when we are both simply giving our opinion.

You are apparently unaware of what the NFL deems "addressing a position." I think you may need to get out more or something. You can ask any NFL personnel and they will unequivocally tell you that throwing late rounders at a position is not addressing it. So, no matter how many silly proclamations you make, the fact doesn't change that throwing late rounders and cheap FAs at a problem area is not addressing it.

Due to extremely poor player evaluation ability, they tried the big moves in FA and failed miserably. So now, they just signed backup types and players drafted highly who failed elsewhere. It's not working, but as usual, w/ a strategy Jerry tries, he just keeps doing it until complete failure is achieved.

Yeah but they didn’t even offer Derrick Henry a deal. They had no intentions of getting better.

I am just like you in this regard,I wanted Derrick Henry in Dallas too.They could have had him pretty cheap as well.

Not sure why you took offense you’re entitled to your opinion. Doesn’t mean it’s right or vice versa.

Addressing the position isn’t about spending big money or top 10 picks. Some of the best defensive tackles in the league weren’t top picks….

McNeil from the Lions was a 3rd rounder
Madubuike from the Ravens was a 3rd rounder
Poona Ford was undrafted
Milton Williams was a 3rd rounder
Kobie Turner a 3rd rounder
John Franklin Meyers a 4th rounder

So yes….:do I consider spending 20 million a year on the position? I do. As do I Solomon Thomas and spending a first rounder on Mazi. Like I said above, you may not like it but it’s been done.

I feel Jerry knows we're not going to a Super Bowl this year. I think he plans on acquiring a quarterback next year. If Milton doesn't work out, and I honestly think it's a good plan for once. We have one more draft to add pieces and possibly trading a prized defensive player for a real QB
