Did we rush Gallup back too soon, does he look confident out there running routes? Or was he brought back to help take some pressure off CEEDEE in coverage??

Knowing the Wrs we have, GALLUP is the only one we have right now that puts some fear into defenses, compared to what we have behind the two guys, give your thoughts

My thoughts are...you have it just right. We rushed back Gallup so CeeDee could catch some passes.

'AND...it worked perfectly.

Good job Sherlock!

Fear? If you wanted DB's to fear one of our guys then we should have kept Brennan Eagles. He's 6'3" 230 pounds and plays with a high motor. Him and Brandon Smith are two big bodied high energy type guys. Defenses fear size or speed. And when you can add high motor, high energy to either size or speed...that's scary.

But no, I don't think they rushed Gallup back. Brown has always been one of Dak's favorites and Lamb is on that list too now. So Gallup was the forgotten man yesterday.

Gallup...could be another WR casualty. He didn't get enough targets before and I think he gets less now. Trade demanded.

Stupidity at it's all time high!!! Having another Sherlock out there, helps take the attention off of CEEDEE

CeeDee’s production hasn’t really changed with Gallup in or out this year, aside from that abysmal game 1. Which brings up another interesting point…

Since Rush’s first career start, CeeDee with…

Dak 12 games, 49.75 ypg, 0.167 TDpg, 0 100-yard games

Rush 6 games, 82.0 ypg, 0.333 TDpg, 1 100-yard game

Maybe it’s Dak throwing more downfield where CeeDee is better in the slot? Or it’s Dak spreading the ball more, he seemed to look for Schultz in a lot of important scenarios Sunday

Gallup strikes fear in no defense ever. He almost never gets any separation.

No way Gallup is 100%, and until our QB gets his act together this combo will be quite invisible. Dak is moe likely to get him killed than find him running an open route right now. All we need is our QB leading him into a nasty hit by forcing looks and throws

I'm confident that Gallup did a great job blocking downfield and made a very convincing decoy to loosen up that run defense.

Zero catches and a win beats out 10 catches for 150 yards in defeat.

There will be games in which his contributions become more relevant. That could very well be next week.

Going of previous players' returns, he shouldn't have been back until November.

He comes back a month early, despite tearing his ACL, and helps us garner a needed win. Yet, he's just a decoy.

C;mon...

no.
kellen moore needs to do a better job with the game plan.

Disagree with the fact that he is the only threat... Turpin could be used on some go routes or deep slants and put some fear into the D for his speed, but KM just doesn't do that for some reason.

Give Gallup some time. He should not have come back until November at the earliest. He tore his ACL earlier this year……..

Not a question of Not being healthy anymore - it's now a question of working his way back into playing form.

He has to get his play strength, his footwork and timing back.
That's going to take a " grind " ... that's gonna take some time.
And it's not always a guaranteed he will be back 100% to previous form.

Not all players respond to recovery, or as quickly as others do.
Conner Williams tore his ACL late in season, but was ready for the start of the next season.
Trysten Hill tore his ACL even before half season, but didn't return to the field next year after half season point of the next year.

Some fans don't care to hear about recovery and time, they want (demand?) instant explosion the minute they step back onto the field.

Per board CD needed a legit number 2, to help him go over a 100 yards a game. This was when Mike was hurt, so teams wouldn’t throw coverage his way.
