I see Felix,Dunbar,Murray,etc... Good open field runners and we rarely run screens. Especially to beat the pass rush with an awful oline.

Dallas does run screens, Do you watch games or just complain? Running them and executing them are 2 different things

It was the lack of play-action that was disconcerting. Yesterday, they employed plenty of play-action which actually opened up the passing game. The Eagles though also played a lot of man it seems, which helped the Cowboys.

We are on the outside looking in, they won...can't really complain.

I think we can one called to Felix and Romo had to chunk it into the ground because we couldn't get it set up before the rush got to him.

We are horrible at executing screens - it is very frustrating.

They've only run a handful of them...I understand that they don't work, but it looks like they never even practice them.

We are not the best screen team out there but we do run them and at times with success. I get tired of the exaggerated BS by some. Hell Dallas has not been a great screen team since Roger and Danny White where here. Norv did not run a ton of screen either

Do you know how many we've run this year?

Nope but I know we have ran them some successful and others not. Never said we were a great screen team but we do run them, we do run play action another thing the exaggerated crowd claimes we don't. We ran screen last night but defense was on top of Romo and he was forced to ditch it.

Yea, that's happened a few times this year. I just can't remember running very many screens after week 4 or so.

Running a screen play is not as simple as one would think, especially when you are shuffling linemen from one week to the next. Landry used to devote considerable time in practice to the screen play. Coincidently that is the last time this team was considered a good screen team. So, I would think that in order for this team to be a good screen team a couple things are needed. First, extended practice time running the screen; secondly, the same offensive line week to week.

All I can say is I have seen them run screens sometimes they have worked other times not. Dallas tried to run a screen last night but pressure was on top of Romo quick and he had to get rid of the ball. Screens can be good but can get sniffed out and easily stopped as well.

This has been addressed multiple times. We don't seem to run them well and that's the theory why we don't run them much. You can't make a pig sing.

You need to understand that the OL not only must be mobile, agile, and athletic enough to get out there but also to have played together enough to make it work. It's a complicated play.

Maybe there is a problem with coaching it. I'm not there at practice. But I would tend to side with the problem being execution by the players.

Many fans on this site seem to think the coaches and players are just stupid. Not true.

After the game last night Murray and Romo were interviewed. Both mentioned the running game and I posted one each of their quotes. Not one single person commented on it.

I wonder why. Do you know?

felix has turn to suck in the open space. He isn't the felix we drafted.

basically that's it,,, most of our o-linemen do not move well, they do not block well in open space, and there is a level of precision required when trying to successfully run a screen in today's NFL that they are unable to reach. It's a crying shame because Felix and Demarco are perfect backs for the screen and quick flare outs to the flats,,, such is the fate of yet another season with one of the worst OLs in the league.

We called a screen last night. I remember it distinctly! I say we called it, because we certainly didn't run it. It ended with Romo under handing a pass to Felix's feet because a linebacker was on him like glue...

Or block well in tight space
