Is Garrett blaming Romo?

Romo isn't going anywhere any time soon. He's the starter for the next four years, at a minimum. Much likely longer.

The difference between Romo and Garrett is that Romo has proven on more than one occasion that actually belongs in the NFL at his position. Garrett's done absolutely nothing.

And if Romo is gone, my defense of Jerry Jones will stop completely, though it's taken a nose-dive for awhile, and it would prove he's gone off the deep end..

So none of it was ROmos fault? It's the HC the wrs and the oline.......again

LOL, Dez didn't land correctly! How should he have landed?

Correctly?

I said he landed awkwardly.

When he jumped his momentum Took him backwards instead of up and down.

Lets be honest, Jason Garrett owes everything he ever accomplished to nepotism. He was the starting QB for his college because of his daddy, he was the Cowboys backup QB because of his daddy, and he got the headcoaching job here because of his daddy.

How do you think you go from world football league scrub to back up QB on one of the best teams ever?

This right here... Jason Garrett is nothing but smoke and mirrors..

It hasn't been 20 years since we were a credible contender. We were credible contenders in '96, '07 and '09.

I don't understand the need to exaggerate things.

I agree, nobody needs to exaggerate to prove how bad things have been.

The next thing out of his mouth was we have to cross the safety's face there on the one.

Guess you missed that part.

Jpp made an incredible play just like ware did on Vick in 06.

The int thrown to Austin seemed like it was romo's fault because it was behind him.

Romo was brilliant after the jpp int.

People complaining about romo are crazy, it was an aggressive plan and when u throw it that much there will be bad plays.

Felix should be traded by tomorrow night, he is useless. That fumble was insanely bad, carrying the ball carelessly and low. Guy should be cut if we can't trade him.
Great post. You get it. Was Romo perfect? No. But he threw the ball 62 times...and made maybe 3 mistakes. If the rest of the team (that would be you Felix) were half as smart...paid half as much attention to details as Romo...we would not be in this mess. Instead of people wondering why we can't call on the running game to get us one yard with 3 downs...3 timeouts...and over a minute to play....while on 30 yards from the endzone...that is the BIGGER issue here. Romo has to make every play for this offense.

Really? So we made it deep into the playoffs in '07 and '09????

lol, ya ok

That's not what was said. Besides if you are in the final fourfor your conference, guess what? You're a contender.

Even when we had a good Running game going Garrett won't stick with it which of course puts even more pressure on Romo to make plays. I don't get why when healthy we can't count on our rb's to get even a few yards just to throw the defense off? Are the rbs not that good? What's the problem?

Garrett threw Phillips under the bus, you bet your *** he will throw Romo under the bus too.

Yep.

Would have been nice to see him yelling at refs after they withdrew the PI call on the Giants at the end, but not him.

No emotion whatsoever out of that automaton.

Too bad the Garrett homers didn't see the writing on the wall, when Wade was hinting about turnovers by the offense and was trying to establish a credible running game, by trying to bring in Dan Reeves to actually work on the running game.

No wonder Wade didn't look happy his last two years here.

If Dez didn't do anything wrong and Romo threw a perfect pass, why wasn't it a TD? Landing awkwardly is not a reason. His momentum carrying him out of bounds could be a reason. But if that's the case, why did his momentum carry hime out of bounds?

I know brilliance and perfection when I see them and you are exaggerating with each word. Romo played decent. The throw to Dez was ALMOST perfect. This is getting silly now. You can have the last word. :)

I feel we may need a new offensive direction.....and a new coaching direction if this is indeed true

how about Brain Kelly his coaching record 195–66–2

Ok, but who is responsible for the interceptions? Oh, wait!

Okay, I get that some of the interceptions this season are not on Romo and are timing-based throws and the receivers being out of place but gees....not every single one. The guy still throws the ball when he shouldn't and is playing terribly. Bryant, Austin, and Witten were all here last season and we didn't have this problem.

I hate to say it, but he's seemed to really fallen off this year so far. Almost reminds me of what happened to Jake Delhomme. Some of his throws today were horrible. Just look at the pass to a wide open Bryant who had to wait on the ball. Should've been a TD.

THATS WHY HE WAS UDFA - every one knew he had a arm that would give out on him

But one big thing is missing this year, and that is WR Laurant Robinson. Robinson was ROMO's go to guy. A guy that found the opening when needed and was constantly an emergency valve for ROMO. Someone the Cowboys are sorely missing this year. Otree is NO Laurant Robinson

Garrett's a weasel. He'll deflect all blame regardless of circumstance. If there's ever some sort of criticism of Garrett, he's the first to run to the media and shift it on to someone else. He's just shady. No backbone at all.
This:
In his press conference, he took no blame for the 2nd and 1 debacle. His answer was wishy washy, about them having success throwing against their offense. Well Genius, if that's the case, you threw Witten a hundred passes, why not throw a a hundred and one and let Witten do a 2 yard route to get that first down?

Just simply say, I should've done things differently there, it was my fault and I will correct it.

Laurent Robinson's success was predicated on Romo's abillity to keep plays alive with his feet. Yes, he was better than Ogletree at doing it, but it still was evident that our offensive production was getting worse and we still made mistakes and our red-zone production kept deteriorating...

This offensive success puts a lot of pressure on Romo and it isn't helped by Boy Wonder at HC...

Romo did hit witten on 2nd and 1 and witten dropped it.

Not running on third and 1 with all three timeouts is quite possibly the worst decision I have ever seen.
