Is Garrett going?

It seems lately the consensus is after Monday night is that Garrett is done with the right losing record by seasons end. What is the possibility that Garrett is retained, but Linehan becomes the guy on the chopping block? If the right coordinator is brought in would we still have fans jumping off the cliff? Or sticking around to see the results? I'm just thinking that Garrett has already had a lengthy enough resume to warrant being fired. What has really changed at this point to say, ok, that is too much you're done for Jerry? I think the only way he is fired is if Linehan is let go first during the season but we still maintain the same course after that. I just think the security blanket Garrett has is about the size of the American flag that covers the entire field on certain pre game ceremonies. We might have the NFC equivalent to Marvin Lewis here where you can't do anything to be fired just by losing.

I respectfully but completely disagree.

This is one turd that even the great salesman Jerrry Jones knows he can't sell any longer.

They've already tried several different offensive coordinator changes over his tenure (including him!) and the results end up being the same.

No, I firmly believe that Garrett is done. And if he's not, I will be until that day happens.

Ratings are about to plummet and that is what will get Jerry's attention.

He will then make a move.

Jerry backs hid coach and his QB. Even said the QB will get extended. So what does that say about the coach. He probably gets another year.
I doubt anything will happen.
Will be a depressing next 14 months.

I agree. While I might consider taking a look at Richard as interim coach, I don't think Jones will do that. Garrett will Captain this ship until season's end.

Right into the iceberg!

No offense @iceberg !

Can any iceberg penetrate that thick skull of Jerry?

I just ask because what has he done now that is any different than the past? I mean sure we are struggling to reach .500 like his norm. I am just asking from a devil's advocate perspective because Jerry's love seems deep enough for Garrett already over the years.

Saints game will spike the ratings but some of these games will get tuned out.

People will tune out the Eagles game, or tune out early.
Same for the Falcons.

T-Day will get its high ratings as usual.
Saints will get the Dez interest ratings, but when it is 40 - 9 midway 3rd, as Garrett plays for the FG. People will tune out, leave the stadium.

Then people will tune out the rest of the year.

I don't think so. Us fans will still be gluttons for punishment, and the haters will enjoy watching the show.

I want to say also, I'm not supporting my theory, just wondering if Jerry is blind enough to stick to Garrett is my guy let's find a way to spin this and keep him.

I'm not getting my hopes up that he'll be fired, but he should be.

Garrett's is as hard to pin down as a greased snake, always finds a way to defer blame. Half this board actually believed Dez was holding this team back, and now, obviously Dak is the reason we suck. Never mind that the HC allowed KELLEN FREAKING MOORE to run the QB room.

The HC allows Linehan to continue calling plays because he's just fine with Linehan taking blame for this terrible offense. He fires the OL coach even though he's the one that allowed the guy to be hired despite the fact that he was an awful fit from the start.

Everyone is to blame except the guy that does nothing but clap and spout cliche after cliche.

Maybe..

You and I are big Cowboys fans. We're positing about the team at 8 AM on a Thursday morning on a Cowboys message board. So they got us regardless.

It's the casuals that are going to tune out. Heck I even find myself sometimes tuning out on the game with it on in the background.

Maybe. But one thing I know about the Cowboys, and why they score big ratings regardless. You either love'em or you hate 'em, but you don't ignore them.

As easy as casuals tuning out, I can see the number of haters watching rising, just to watch the carnage.
