QBs don't tend to peak young, and some of the better ones lately have made it via a circuitous, even torturous journey.
All it really means, I guess, is there is no longer just one 'timetable' for an NFL quarterback.
I think Aikman's path colors a lot of the thinking around Henson, but I also think some fans either don't know or forget just how bad the 1989 Cowboys were. Starting Aikman and Walsh wasn't sacrificing much.
In contrast, the Dallas teams of this year and last looked to be relatively competitive headed into the season. Last year was derailed mostly by injury - Woodson's perhaps the greatest.
