Based on Church's injury and recovery, as well as the fact that the team docs have most likely performed a lot of repairs, they'll have some idea.

They'll have some idea of what? His recovery? I'm talking about his play on the field. They can't evaluate him this year. They'll go into the offseason not knowing any more about Crawford than they know now.

I've rehabbed a lot of Achilles repairs, and in some cases, the recovery time is significantly less. Factors such as age, prior conditioning levels, whether the person is a fast healer, etc., can have a profound effect. That said, getting a player back to where he can play at the NFL level in less than six months is questionable, but given Suggs' situation, definitely possible. Regardless, many athletes are now ultimately returning to pre-injury levels of play.

Yeah, I agree. I just haven't found what actual surgical techniques they are doing. Suturing the tendon was not the answer I was looking for. I'd like to know what suture materials, suture techniques, any med equipment particularly autosutures etc, and immediate post operative care. I'd like to read an operative report.
