Is it Jerry who makes the decisions, or is it others in the organization that persuade him to do otherwise. It's been said that if you get to Jerry last, you can persuade him to think your way. As far as we know, Jerry could have had a BRILLIANT idea**, and someone said otherwise and he went with it. If this is true, should Jerry continue to listen, get better people around him who know how to build a team, or keep on doing what he's doing??

**(Can Jerry actually have a BRILLIANT idea??) Lol, please give your thoughts

Broaddus was crying on the postgame show yesterday that it wasn't Jerry who had failed, it was all the people who advised Jerry. Said Jerry was basically a victim all these years.

Such pathetic excuse-making. If your people keep giving you bad advice, you fire them and hire better people. It's ultimately on the GM, just as Jerry has wanted it all these years.

Even if I hire a bunch of idiots its my fault for hiring idiots. I'm not sure how this is anything but Jerrys fault. If he couldn't see coming into the year that this roster wasn't good enough, and it wasn't a smart idea to wait until the very last moment to sign Lamb/Dak I'm really not sure how anyone else is the problem here.

Jerry has been doing things by committee for a long time now....and most of the time.....it backfires. Prime example was when Kellen Moore was the offensive coordinator...and you had 4 or 5 people making up plays. It was a recipe for disaster. Nothing ever worked off each other...running one play to setup something else later. We got so predictable from seeing who was in the game to...formation...if we were running motion or not. And our check with me offense is a joke. The entire league knows what we are running just by reading Twitter.

What Broaddus stated is 100% correct, the man was in the building, an NFL scout for 13 years, he knows what's going on in the building.....Drafts should be handled by the scouting department, not coaches on the staff....for years since Jimmy was forced out, the problem has always been People OUTSIDE the organization(friends of Jerry) that get in Jerry's ear last that effected draft selections.....

The draft is nothing but a photo op for the entire Jones family, To the point of nausea.

That’s still a “Jerry problem”. Jerry is too cheap ignorant, myopic, and shallow-brained to even remotely have the requisite knowledge needed to build a legit SB contender .

Yeah, but Jerry chooses who advises him. He lives in an echo chamber of adulation and deference.

How can you leave out the coaches and scouts? They get to be in the photos too at the table of power.

It's Rowdy's fault.

IMO Jerry makes nearly every decision. Who plays, who they trade for, who they cut, who they sign etc. In the draft I think he allows more input from others.

As always, COOG, thanks for your inspiring and thought-provoking topics-- you bring out the best in all of us.

It's the classic 'Emperor has no clothes' situation.
