Is it just me or is La'Roi Glover getting Pushed around? 34 or 43

Yesterday he was easily blocked and pushed around by the Raiders. Now I know he has been in previous weeks but in those previous games we played a 34 this week we played more 43 and nickle than anything.

Did we make a move back more to the 43 because how he has been being manhandled. Look at the numbers he has 1 sack and 8 tackles in 4 games.

and what happened to the blitzes? other than against the chargers and first 56 min against the skins we haven't blitzed much at all. Whay gives is Zimmer the real cause?

Glover has done pretty well IMO. Even in the 3-4 where they said he was too small, he still got pressure on the QB.

At least in the 43 we could stop the run. And you are right, Glover is being pushed around as is Singleton.

Glover has done pretty well IMO. Even in the 3-4 where they said he was too small, he still got pressure on the QB.

I believed he also had a sack if not for an off sides penality on Ware.

Glover did have a sack that was nullified because of Ware's penalty. It was a huge play too. Probably would have kept them out of field goal range. Instead they end up making a field goal on that drive.

The seven yard sack would have put the ball at our 45 yard line.

IMHO...we should probably start playing predominantly in a 4-3. We seem to have much better success when we run that as opposed to the 3-4.

Funny Moose even commented on us playing mostly 43 early in the third quarter.

My guess that this version of the 4-3 that is being run isn't a 4-3 in the sense that we...and Glover are used to.

What do I mean by that? Even in these 4-3 type schemes, Glover probably still has some two gap responsibilities. That isn't his forte. Glover is primarily a one gap penetrating DT. It doesn't surprise me in the least that he is being shoved around trying to play a 3-4 nose. Its a poor fit.

Interesting topic though, I may have to rewatch to see what he is doing in the four man lines that aren't nickel.
