Or did we have more success running the ball to the right? I haven't re-watched the game so this is just first impression kind of stuff but that is what it seemed like to me.

I thought Rivera and Pettiti (sp) did a heck of a job yesterday.

i dunno but Rob is looking like a vet out there. i didnt see any penalties on him this game, although i missed a little bit of the game. really good pickup, him and rivera really seem to be jelling.

Yes. We had a critical short yardage play early on where Julius broke a sweep for around ten for a first down. Right side. One of the best things about yesterday was the fact we didn't hesitate to run right. And we did so successfully, IMO.

Pass blocking and blitz pickups could not have been much better. I was listening to WIP 610 out of Philly this morning and Angelo (morning guy) was exalting Rob Pettitti. They all were - callers, everyone. They spoke about he totally whipped Javon Kearse.

Now we know the kid got all kinds of help, but I don't care. He was sensational. The entire OL was. That was dominant line play against a very tough defensive front. Couldn't be more proud of those guys.

I am rewatching the game now and Rob did di a hellacious job.

Most every RT is going to need help vs Jevon Kearse..even the most seasoned linemen. What really looks notably improved in Rob is his balance...no seeing his backside as Bill lamented earlier in the year, not any sign I could see of being spun or faked around.

Both his hand technique and use of his body look light years ahead of what it looked in his first preseason but with a speedrusher in the Cardinals end.

The kid's a keeper, all right.

Yep, LTN...

The amazing thing is these Philly people are especially pointing out how RP is a sixth rounder, and a rookie. And they continue to use the term "manhandle." Whatever you want to call it, we didn't hear anything out of Kearse yesterday and Pettitti was a major reason why.

I guess I, like many, am utterly giddy about this team finally rounding up talent in the draft that can actually play. Dallas isn't just getting young guys on the field. They're throwing kids out there who are contributing in a major way.

It does the heart good. Rob Pettitti deserves all the kudos in the world. I'm glad to see him getting that.
